Ch.3 Bet

"Wait, you got a girlfriend?" Jack asked while raising his eyebrows with a curious expression as he couldn't believe that happened.

"Yeah, didn't I just say that?" Rob was confused by their reaction as he didn't expect them to act so shocked.

"It's okay bro, you can tell the cameraman to come out now," Mike said, patting his shoulder as he also didn't believe his words at all.

Rob lowered his head and started rubbing his forehead in annoyance as Mike patted his shoulder with an anxious expression while Jack was laughing looking at this.

"These motherfuckers, I am not joking and she is real. Here see this." In an annoyed tone, he pulled out his phone and started to show them pictures of him and a girl next to him.

"Oh, so it is real?" Jack looked at the picture while nodding his head with a smile, 'Looks like he is finally over her.'

"Could be an actress though?" Mike commented with a clueless face which annoyed Rob even more.

"You think I can't get a girlfriend?" Rob asked while looking at Mike with a frustrated look as he couldn't understand why he didn't believe him.

"Ahh, it's probably because of your first love?" Jack interrupted them as he looked at Mike for confirmation with a curious look.

"Yup, that's why."

"Oh I am totally over her, I don't even remember how she looks now," Rob said with a smile while shaking his head as he couldn't understand why his friends thought that he still missed her.

"Damn that's great, how many years have been since-"

"10 years, 2 months and 13 days." Before he could finish his statement, Rob mentioned the time with a nonchalant look.

Both Jack and Mike looked at each other while laughing awkwardly as they realised that this guy was not over her.

"Anyway now that we know that great news, you gotta give us a treat," Jack said with a smile while pointing towards the empty plate on the table.

"Yup, that's a great idea." Mike also further supported that idea while calling a different waiter to order more food.

"These guys… haha don't worry, I will pay for everything." Rob couldn't help but shake his head while smiling at their behaviour.

After that, they ordered more food, especially the more expensive one which put a dent in his wallet but sadly the earlier waiter didn't come out once.

"Oh that reminds me, looks like we won't be able to play League today," Jack muttered after finishing the food in front of him.

"Oh yeah, that's true." Mike also replied with a sigh while drinking the rest of his beer as he was excited about the boy's night.

"Oh, why though? Something happened?" Rob asked with a curious expression as he couldn't understand why it was cancelled.

Both of them looked at him with a baffled expression as they couldn't believe he didn't know why.

"It's because of the news-"

"You just told us-"

"About your girlfriend-"

"As we still remember the last time-"

"The fuck are you guys talking about also stop completing each other sentences, it's weird," Rob mumbled with a confused expression while also being creeped out by the sentence completion.

"Haha, we couldn't resist." Mike laughed as both of them always wanted to try this once.

"Yup, it's too funny not to do it." Jack also said laughingly as he always wanted to do that but it took 10 years.

"Did you guys practise it or something?" Rob asked with a curious expression as it seemed pretty well-coordinated.

"Ahh no, it's because of the old time," Jack said shaking his head as the only reason they were this good as both knew what was gonna happen.

"Yup as we still remember how you were that time," Mike said, shaking his head with disappointment as he remembered that time.

"Ahhhh that one, don't worry this time always gonna have time for boys." He said fixing his glasses with a smile, as he wasn't gonna act like that ever again.

"100 bucks." Suddenly Jack said that while looking at Mike with a serious expression.

Mike nodded his head and pondered for a bit before saying something himself, "I will go with 120 bucks."

"Oh, you seem pretty confident? How many days then?" Jack laughed at his confidence as it was pretty rare for him to bet that higher than him.

While both of them were talking, Rob couldn't understand what was happening at all and looked at them with a curious expression.

"Just after break up," Mike said with a triumphant look as he remembered, it was like that last time too.

"Ohhh that's good but I will go with, it after a week after the breakup," Jack said while crossing his hands with a confident expression as he was confident that he was gonna win.

"The fuck you guys are on about?" Rob asked with a frustrated expression as he couldn't understand what these guys were about and it was annoying him even more.

"Ahh, we are betting how long before you play with us," Mike said with a smile which annoyed Rob even more.

"These guys, haah! don't worry I will play today so you guys can give me 220 bucks later." Rob said with a smile as realised how he could make this bet better for himself.

"Ahh shit." Mike regretted his decision to tell the truth while Jack looked at him with a disappointed expression.

"Anyway, you guys can give me the money later, let's pay the bill and go back home then," Rob said as he realised that all of them had finished eating and in front of them were just empty plates.

"Hmm, sure." After that Rob paid the bill and then all three of them went in different directions towards their home.

"This is interesting," Jack mumbled on his way home alone while looking at the paper in his hand which contained the waiter girl's phone number.
