Jasper stared into those blue eyes of his with curiosity written across them. He didn't understand what the knight meant by needing help holding on but he did see pain behind his gaze.

How quickly had the strong man he met turn to a shade of painful mess. It was his fault. Perhaps he touched a wrong nerve.

He reached forward placing both hands on Leo's shoulders causing him to look up at him again.

"You know what," the merman said softly, leaning closer until their lips were only inches apart, "you're wrong about one thing. You are not alone you stubborn mule. And yes, I'm attracted to you."
