seven day challenge

"Will you still say yes if I ask you to go out with me." He stared at me with those beautiful hazel eyes. He squinted, his eyebrows were slightly creased. "Define go out." I was a bit surprised. "Uhmm.. just go out?" "Like a date?"  "Yeah?" "How many?"  "What?"  "How many dates?" Okay. That was unexpected. I was just hoping for one date and let everything run it's course. "Seven?"

day two: Jaycee's second day

Mom drove us to school. Ivan was slumped to his seat wearing my shirt, my jeans and my boxers. I smiled at the thought. Okay I'm not thinking of anything funny. I just liked the idea. Shit. I'm really losing it.

It was odd, maybe, for the other students to see me with Ivan. It's just my second day at school and it seems like rumors will be starting soon. I don't mind though, I was just worried about Ivan, he seemed like he was bullied a lot. And he's used to it which makes it harder to watch. It pisses me off.

I looked behind my shoulders. Ivan walked quietly, slowly, claculating his steps. I stopped and he bumped behind me..

"You're not paying attention." I said. I turned and he leaned on my chest.

He sighed but he didn't look up.

"What's wrong?" I lifted his chin so he would look at me but he immediately averted his eyes.

"I got a headache, that's all."

"Wanna skip?"

He shook my head. "I'll just sleep at the infirmary."

Then I watched him walk away.

"What the hell was that about?" Nathan greeted me with a slap at the back. "He hitting on you?"

"Nope." I answered flatly. I started walking away going to class.

"Oh." Nathan walked beside me, his arms on my shoulders. "If I were you I'd avoid that fag."

"Why?" Ok, that's not nice. Though I tried my best to keep my tone from sounding annoyed.

"You know, he'd turn you fag."

I let out a chuckle. "Seriously man, homosexuality isn't contagious you know." Unless you fall in love him, but that's a different story.

"Whatever." He shrugged.

My dad was gay. Ofcourse Nathan doesn't know so I give him the benefit of the doubt. But if you were to ask me, my dad was a great father it's just that he fell in love with another man. My mom respected his decision. We're still a family despite the fact.

Lunch time was when I spotted Ivan again. He managed to skip all morning classes. He ignored me though, I guess it has something to do with what Nathan was trying to tell me earlier. Guess he just took it upon him to distance himself.

Hmm.. doesn't suit well with me though. So instead of the usual table, I wedged myself between the two Korean cuties.

"Hi." They said together.

"I'm Minmei." Said the girl with a pony tail.

"I'm Eun-ah." Said the other with a headband.

"Hi ladies." I greeted.

Ivan sat across me, beside another girl who later introduced herself as Honey. I don't like her. She's too watchful, like she was scrutinizing me it gives me the creeps. Anyway, I like the twins, they're bubbly and talkative. Ivan, on the other hand ignored me. It's really pissing me off.

"What's the matter?" I finally asked.

He looked up at me, surprised.

"Nothing. I just…." He bowed his head. "Nothing."

I let it drop. Honey was already glaring at me, ready to pounce if I push further.

I gave her a hard stare, I stood up and left, feeling something heavy in the pit of my stomach. something doesn't feel right, I just can't tell what.
