seven day challenge

"Will you still say yes if I ask you to go out with me." He stared at me with those beautiful hazel eyes. He squinted, his eyebrows were slightly creased. "Define go out." I was a bit surprised. "Uhmm.. just go out?" "Like a date?"  "Yeah?" "How many?"  "What?"  "How many dates?" Okay. That was unexpected. I was just hoping for one date and let everything run it's course. "Seven?"

day two: Ivan's night at the museum

I really have no idea how this came to be. The last thing I remembered was sitting at the bus stop, Jaycee was on the phone and...I fell asleep? The next thing I knew I was on a twin size bed with Jaycee stretched on my right. His room smelled like baby powder.

I felt him stir beside me. I turned to face him and his eyes slowly opened.

"Hey." His whispered. His bedroom voice sounds so enticing.

"Hey."

"My mom called your mom. She gave the ok."

That was nice. "Thanks"

He was silent for a moment. I looked at him and his eyes were closed again. I did the same.

The next moment I awake it was already morning. The space beside me was now empty. I peeked at the clock at the bedside table. It's 6:20. I stretched and crawled out of the bed.

Jaycee's room was your typical teenager's room; blue walls, posters of bands unknown to me, a guitar, a keyboard and a drum kit, a TV and stereo in one corner, and books, lots of John Grisham books. He must have liked that author a lot. One thing I noticed though were sculptures of mythical creatures scattered all over his room.

The door opened while I was busy poking the clay creatures.

"Morning." Jaycee greeted, half naked, straight off the shower. He didn't even bat an eye as he passed by me to get to his cabinet.

I just stared, drooling. Ok fine, I wasn't drooling - almost. Well trimmed biceps, chest and that abs. Water trickling from his hair and trailed down to his chest down to who knows where.  Damn.

I looked away.

Damn.

When I looked up he was already in his jeans and a red hot chili peppers t-shirt. He gave me a change of clothes and a towel.

"Mom's still cooking." He said casually. "You can shower while waiting."

"Thanks". I  scrambled out of his room and stood by the door. I heard Jaycee laugh.

"Last door to the left." He called, then laughed again. A smile tugged at the corner of my lips. The hall towards the bathroom was lined with paintings and sculptures of mythical characters. Mermaids, haliya* and elves. It was weird subject but the way the art was executed was magical.

I ran the shower in my head. The water was cool on my warm skin. I sighed. This feels really good. I changed into the clothes Jaycee gave me and I could smell him in his shirt. I inhaled it and smiled.

"His clothes smell like lavender." I murmured and went out, back to his bedroom. Jaycee was lying in bed his phone in his hands.

"Wanna go home first or should we go straight to school?" He asked the moment I entered. "Or we can ditch altogether?" he chuckled.

"School. Please."

He nodded and tapped the empty space beside him.

"Come here."

Yes, I am gullible. I did walk to him and sat down. He patted my damp hair and gave it a sniff. I jumped a litte at his touch.

"Aahh.. you smell different now." He whispered. "I prefer the sweet scent."

I frowned. What the hell's he talking about?
