Thank you

'No, it can't be her. If it is, then eventually, I will have to give her up. While I have to do that eventually, at the very least, I don't want this girl to fall into the boss hands.'

Toh shakes his head. Sumire may have a strong position in the underworld, but she is too weak mentally. From the boss description, his woman should be strong.

"Thank you so much. I think I'm starting to feel much better because of you."

"Then, do I get anything?" Toh asked.

He isn't against helping her, but it would be nice if she did something for him.

"I'll write a song for you, Toh."

"That sounds great, but I was thinking I could get a kiss."

'And maybe all that kissing could lead to something.'

Although he stopped earlier, he hasn't stopped thinking about it. The kiss they shared on the second day was too difficult for him to forget. She seemed nervous earlier, but if she is the one who initiates it, perhaps the outcome will be different.

His thoughts break off when he felt a pair of warm lips on his cheek.

H-huh? It took him a moment to realize that she had kissed his cheek.

Sumire pulled away with flushed cheeks, covered her mouth with her sleeve, and laughed. "Um, will that do?"

"...."

Toh didn't know what to say, so he didn't speak. All he could think about right now was how cute and lovely she was. This is the first time he has felt that sweet atmosphere that happens with most couples who flirt with each other. Who would have thought that he would experience it with this girl?

'I must be going crazy. Just now, I thought she was very cute.'

"Toh?" Sumire said, puzzled.

"Go to sleep."

"Mmm, I'm sleepy." She trailed off. "Are you staying? Can you?"

"I'll be right next to you. So get some rest."

It did not take long before he heard her breathing. Toh wrapped the blanket around her. He stares at her sleeping face when she sleeps like this. She looks even older than she already does.

"Truly, what are you doing to me?" Toh caressed her cheeks.

She has had a strange effect on him from the moment they met. A kiss on the cheek, he wasn't expecting it. He didn't think she would kiss him at all and just say she couldn't. Even if she summoned up the courage, he would have stopped her.

Toh shakes his head. He needs to stop focusing on her for a moment. Although his preparations for the show are coming along, he is a bit behind on his classwork. He pulled out a few design drafts from his drawer and his laptop.

But it did not take long before she woke up. It was roughly forty-five minutes when he saw her stir awake. He isn't surprised by this. Sumire has a very difficult time sleeping for a long period of time. The girl slept in small intervals of an hour, forty-five minutes, or two-three hours.

When he first learned this, he adjusted his sleep schedule so he would be awake when she did. It took him some time, but he managed to adjust.

"Mm, Toh?" Sumire mumbled.

"Right here."

"Sorry, are you very busy?"

"No, what's wrong?" Toh closed the laptop and put the sheets away.

"I'm a bit hungry."

'The food she made earlier. She ensured Tsueno ate everything and even gave him a bag of leftovers.' He could cook something, but it would take some time. Toh thought for a moment before pulling out his phone and showing her a menu.

"What would you like to order?" Toh asked.

"T-these look expensive. Is it really okay for me to pick something?

"It's from a friend's restaurant."

It took an extra five minutes before he persuaded her to order something. "Go take a bath. The food will be ready by the time you come out."

Sumire nodded and went over to the bathroom. She peeked through the door. "Toh, you're not going to try and help me bathe again like you did the other day, are you?"

"I think we went through this. But I only did that because I was worried that you'd harm yourself in the bath. You're doing better today."

She mainly slept on the first day, so he simply washed her arms and legs with water. On the second day, he actually helped her bathe, but she has no memory of it since it happened after a panic attack. Yesterday he did the same, but she regained her consciousness faster.

"If I need help, would you help me?"

Toh blinked, hearing her words. He didn't expect that to come from her.

"I shall just shout if you need me."

Sumire nodded and disappeared behind the doors. When he was sure she was out of sight, he sighed deeply.

'Does she think I am made out of stone? No sane man can stand seeing the naked skin of a gorgeous woman. A woman, huh? She looks like a grown woman already, but the reality is she is sixteen.'

This is the first time he has hated his own age. Why does he have to be four years older? If he was only two years older, then it would be okay, no, if he was her age. Perhaps they would have met under completely different circumstances.

After twenty minutes had passed, he heard the sound of the doorbell. Toh exited his room and made his way downstairs. The moment he opens the door, he is greeted with a scowling Tanabe Koichi.

"Making the owner of the restaurant do deliveries. You are the only one who would do that."

Toh sighed. "It would be troublesome for me if people found out where I lived."

"It's unlike you to order this much food, though." Koichi passed him the bag. "Unless it's one of your women."

"Sumire is with me."

At those words, Koichi froze and cautiously peeked through the door. "I wondered why you suddenly asked for a leave of absence. Toh, you really have no shame, do you?"

"You say that, but she was the one who came here."

Koichi shakes his head. "You are seriously asking for trouble. I already warned you not to get further involved. But if she is even staying over."

"I will be careful."

Besides, they are still in the observing each other stage. If one of them gets bored first, they will make it clear to the other person.

"How much do I owe you?"

Koichi raised his hand. "No, it's free of charge today."

"It's unlike you to be so generous."

"No, it's just I get this feeling that Ibuki ordered most of those dishes. If so, you can have it for free. There is no sane person who would charge that scary woman money."

Koichi's impression of Sumire continues to get worse. Well, unless it starts affecting him, and even her, he won't do anything.
