The air inside the bustling airport hung heavy with the amalgamation of hurried footsteps, distant announcements, and the constant hum of conversations. Lizzy's heart raced as she pushed through the crowd, her eyes frantically scanning every face in the hope of catching a glimpse of her precious daughter.

The weight of panic clung to her like a shadow, fueled by the fear that her ex-husband, Zac, might succeed in spiriting their child away.

Lizzy's voice quivered as she spoke, tears streaming down her cheeks. "What if they have already left? What if I never get to see my daughter again?"
