I have taken a break from the system right now as May just arrived with food again. It might not be a good idea for me to tell her about the system. That's at least what the system itself told me when I asked it.
So long as I'm not actively hurting her, I can hide things all I want. And it might be correct in it being better kept a secret.
May left just a couple of minutes ago, so I will go back to finishing the missions. I decided to start with the book about the history of this empire. I pick up the book and walk over to the only comfortable chair in the hut and sit down. The first page of the book looks grandiose with gold and purple all over it.
The Aetherius Empire is the oldest still standing empire on the Trinitarum continent, along with the Sultanate and the Caelum Theocracy. The Empire was founded by the still living Empress Aylareth, whose race is the Dragon race, so she still lives to this day. She is the most powerful person on the continent and keeps the other powerful people in check. But most of her attention is always on her own empire and the different noble houses. She is also the reason the Empire is mostly female dominated.
The Aetherius Empire has been standing for roughly 2000 years and is still standing strong.
The Sultanate and the Caelum Theocracy have tried to go to war against the Empire tons of times, but have never succeeded, not even when they banded together. What most people don't know is that the Sultan of the Sultanate and the God Empress of the Caelum Theocracy are sisters with Empress Aylareth.
The Empire's society is built up with different classes of nobles, knights, and peasants. The noble hierarchy goes as follows. Highest rank just under the empress and her family are the two duchesses, namely Duchy De Noir and Duchy of Silvermoon. Under them, there are two Marquises followed by four Countesses, followed by four more viscountesses and a tenfold of barons.
The Knights are just before the nobles, as a commoner can become a knight if they are valued highly by either a high-ranking noble or the empress family. It can be because they have a good magic affinity, great martial arts skills, or a great mind. Then, if they prove themselves as a knight serving under a noble family or the Empress, they can earn a noble title.
The geography of the Empire is very mixed as it spans over such a huge portion of the continent. But summoned up, In the north where the powerful duchy of Silvermoon resides is winter all year around with snow everywhere. To the east, bordering the Sultanate, is a desert climate with the sun up almost the entire day. If you go there, you will need to bring water or you will die. To the West, it is humid and almost normal weather, over there is a huge swamp ground with tons of water. Most of the empire's fish and sea life get taken from there. Down towards the south resides the hugely powerful Duchy De Noir. The climate there is a mix between them all, and the most normal, together with the central part where the Empress lives. Both of them have four seasons and changing weather. So it's the most prosperous for everyday work and for peasants.
The most important things to note about individuals in the empire are as follows. The Empress race is a Dragon, so her mood can shift quickly but is mostly merciful if you have deserved it. The Duchy up north, the Silvermoon's are a duchy of Werewolves, who focus mostly on power and strength with martial arts and weapons. Then the most powerful duchy in the empire, Duchy De Noir. The Duchess and her heir are of the Vampire race and focus mostly on magic. They have provided the most powerful and best mages the empire has ever seen for centuries. The current duchess wields the special rank magic affinity, blood. She can draw all blood out of a body with just a thought, but even though they are vampires, they do not feast on innocent humans. Mostly.
The continent is very diverse with races, as there are tons of different races who live together. Some of the most common races are. Human, Elf, Dogkin, Catkin, Orc, Demon, Dwarf, Foxkin, vampires, wolfkin, faeries, harpies and Merfolk.

Wow, that was a long but very interesting book. There was a lot that I had no idea about and learned. All this information will probably help me when I become a butler then. I should start with the next book right away then. I'm going with the 'Workout For Warriors' book as I want to start practicing martial arts already.
I pick up the book with a cover in red and orange that looks like a dogkin person striking at a bull or something. The first page is filled with text but also a ton of images.
Martial arts are a system of self-defense and combat techniques that use physical force and skill to defeat an opponent. They are based on close-range combat, usually involving hand-to-hand combat, kicks, punches, and various weapons, such as swords and daggers. These techniques are used for self-defense as well as in competitive sports, but mostly for attacking and fighting to the death and overwhelming your opponent with physical might.
Some of the basic principles of martial arts include focus, concentration, discipline, restraint, and respect. It can be used in two types of ways. Either by people who have magic or don't have magic. The martial arts for intermediate and higher is used by applying magic to your body as to shooting it away. With martial arts, you apply magic to yourself and that gives you an edge in close combat with weapons. People who are good at martial arts can deflect magic from casters and close the gap between them in a mere blink. This beginner's guide is for those who don't have magic yet. You will be able to beat almost anyone without magic if you practice your martial arts to the extreme and learn the different options about the body.

I am not used to learning this much in such a short span of time. I know everything about how to practice my martial arts and everything about it. This will be easy to start now. But I should also read the other books first so I can level up. System show me my status.
