For countless times, he was summoned again and again in her various worlds.

He does every task and mission that was enforced by her. And if he saw his former other self, it would end up with him trying to prevent himself to become him as a bonus on those missions. Even it means any necessary actions.

Like killing himself so that somehow, he can create a paradox.

Through, that was in the past since he was summoned in that version of Holy Grail War. Now, he was just a tired countered guardian force to do a various tasks with no enjoyment within those missions. If he was unlucky, he would be summoned in another holy grail war again.

The cycle just keep repeating. In and out he is in the throne of heroes. Spending his time in his reality marble during his bad days didn't help alleviate the constant feeling of tiredness and just wanting to be free from this doomed fate.

Even that other him made him realize something. It doesn't mean that he would be back to his previous was. What happens has happened after all. This is him and that version of himself was different.

He would always regret the fact that he entered a contract with her.

A hero of Justice?. it was still an impossible idea for him. Over his life as a counter guardian, he realize how naive that dream was. To become a hero, he need to kill people for the sake of others.

Choose the greater good for the sake of Humanity. Killing many people just to save the whole, it was really impossible.

He wasn't that guy anymore. But he was a counter guardian under Alaya's control.

The Counter Guardian EMIYA.

He hoped that version of himself haven't threaded his path.

It was an impossible ideal after all.

Emiya was spending his time on the throne of heroes when he felt her call and presence again.

Damn it... What does she want again this time?

Couldn't she just give him some moment of peace?

It was that much to ask for?

Just a few moments (or maybe unlimited ) amount of peace.. couldn't she give that?

But since he was in a place that was outside of time, he was clueless on how much did he spend his time in a momentarily silence.

Another mission...Again.

And he was certain that it would be a continuous again and again and again.

A never ending fate.. how really foolish those once of his dream was.

That naive and foolish him... Whatever is he doing right now, it wasn't his business anymore. Through he can't help but constantly think of that guy.

Emiya feel the pull tugging him out from the throne of heroes. He doesn't resist the call and let himself be dragged on another mission.

He hoped that it wasn't a holy grail war again.

As he thought of it, various information appeared on his mind as he feel himself be connected to the world again and out of the throne of heroes.

His somewhat hopeful thought was granted to him. Counter Guardian Emiya wasn't summoned in a Holy Grail War. But he also wanted to cursed his luck and thought if that damned blue dog have somehow infected his curse luck on him.

He have been summoned on a different world of his own. Alaya was still her but he can feel that she was somehow different to his world's version of Alaya. She was on the verge of danger because of those Singularities.

Saving the world... And destroying the source of Singularity. And he also need to kill a servant that shouldn't have been summoned by Alaya's orders.

Emiya frowned when the mission entered on his mind. A lot of various unknowns and new things– also, he wondered what kind of servant does he need to kill?

An image of a certain arrogant smug bastard entered on his mind. He hoped that it wasn't that arrogant king. He have encountered him many times in those Holy Grail Wars. He doesn't need to see that bastard's face anymore. He have enough "zasshu" and "faker" from the King of Heroes.

When Emiya opened his eyes, he saw the sight of scorched land and burning castle from the distance. Smoke and a big hole in the sky that was as big as a continent welcomed his sight.

His mission would be really difficult. Much more grander and world threatening. There was a certain uncertainty of the completion of his mission. He doesn't know if his action or assistance on those so called Chaldea candidates or masters would be enough.

While he was embroiled on his thoughts, staring at the scenery and preparing his weapons, Emiya heard the distinct and familiar sound of an object.

The sound of a dangerous weapon that he have seen and encounter on his various missions. Even before he became a counter guardian– a child, an old man or any people would be familiar with this weapon. If those people didn't encounter this weapon in real life, they would often see them on those various television shows. Mostly in action and crime TV shows.

The sound of a bullet being loaded in a barrel registered on his ears. Turning his head to stare at the someone who has him in gunpoint, Emiya archer eyes unconsciously widened for a moment. Genuine surprise can be seen on his face as he stared at the familiar face of the man. He can notice the obvious differences, but it was certain that it was that man. Despite the bandage covered face and hood, he could recognize him enough even with that eyes even it looks so dull, gloomy and tired of everything. More than that man..

" Kiritsugu. "

The hold of the gun tightened for a moment before it disappeared. Kiritsugu look at Emiya.

" It seems that you know me. But I am not familiar with your name, Counter Guardian. "

Emiya ignored the slight pang that he felt within those words by the man whom he have once treated as a father. Even it was a different version of that man who he also loathed a bit.

" I am counter guardian Emiya. "

Emiya watched Counter Guardian kiritsugu remove his hood and the strange bandage mask that was on his face. Because of that, he can see the surprise on his face.

" Emiya.... "

Kiritsugu was staring at him with a somber expression. He doesn't know what is he thinking about.

" .... Then, Emiya... Do you have any experience in being summoned on Holy Grail Wars? "

Kiritsugu asked. Emiya has no idea why is he asking him that question.

" I did. "

" What class are you? "

" Archer. "

Hmm.. he has now an idea on what is he getting at. Kiritsugu somber and gloomy expression change for a moment before sighing.

" Good. Then you can call me, Counter Guardian Assassin. Or just Emiya Assassin. Has Alaya filled your head with the information? "

" Yes. "

Emiya wondered why didn't Alaya bothered to inform him that there would be someone assisting him on this mission. A counter guardian like him. And it was a surprise that this counter guardian was a version of Kiritsugu. He also probably entered a contract with Alaya.

" Then we must get into the mission, plan and clear the goal. "

The pistol appeared again in Kiritsugu's hands. Emiya has also prepared to summon his weapons on the reality marble whenever possible.

" It would be efficient if we can see those masters that Alaya was talking about and we would become nearer in the goal of ours. "

Emiya can feel that there was maybe something that this version of Kiritsugu has mistaken. A wrong idea that popped out.

Instead, he just decided to reply. His mind was also in a slight disarray since he would never expected that he would meet an another counter guardian like him. And it was kiritsugu of all people.

He have expected to meet that other version of himself still ending up as a counter guardian despite taking a different paths on one of his cynical and pessimistic thoughts. Then when he saw that version of his face, he would probably have " I told you so " instances and say that his naive self's idea was completely foolish and impossible.

It was just himself who would he ended up being broken with every people that he killed and the way that he save the world.. Someone who was saving the countless lives of people, a hero... But in those people that he killed, he was a villain in their eyes.

Kiritsugu glance at Emiya who was deep in thought for a moment. His face turning complicated.

He and Emiya would approached closer and closer to Orleans. Counter guardians prepared to their task with a somber and cynical perspectives.

As they stared at what was events that happened behind the screen, Theo thought that it was probably one of the most scary things that he encountered on his life.

It was like a scene of hell when they arrive at the Orleans. Beside the scorched and desolate lands, and also the burning castle– there was a very prominent thing that stood out.

{ Auhhhh.... }

{ Agh... }

{ Waaahhh... }

{ Ah..Ah.. }

Moans and groans of agony and pain can be heard as the two Fujimaru, Mash and the Servants arrived.

{ Doctor what the hell is this?! }

Theo can hear the tremor on the voice of Ritsuka. Meanwhile, Gudako instantly decided to hide behind Mash and the Servants. Fitting herself like a glue on them.

{ Scary!! }

Theo can understand why does they have that reaction. Even behind the scene he already felt scared just by looking at them.

People. Dead people. Approaching the burning castle and staring ahead with eyeless sockets. Some are walking. But most of them are crawling like some kind of beast. They also have their head rotating in a very impossible way.

" So that is why we are detecting an unusual energy readings... "

Theo can hear Da Vinci muttering. Doctor Romani also stare at the screen with his face forming into frown. He wondered if the doctor was just in the deep thought or the Clairvoyance EX was in the works. (But it was impossible since he was now a human right? But then, Theo remembered what happened in the game. )

{ Master, I can sense that this is an unusual curse that has descended on this place. But don't worry, it doesn't look like that we are the target of the curse. }

{ Is that so? Thanks Cu! }

{ Don't worry about it. Can you stop hiding behind us now? }

With the reassurance, Gudako stopped hiding behind the servants. Her sibling Ritsuka look relieved when he heard those words.

{ This curse, is it permanent? }

Ritsuka asked Caster Cu. Theo along with Da Vinci and Romani listened on the conversation attentively.

{ No, it will disappear eventually. Despite being strong, it wasn't long lasting. This is also may be a Noble Phantasm of a servant. }

{ Does one of the Servants rebelled against her? }

Ritsuka asked. Robin Hood who was currently smoking while he warily watched the surroundings decided to answer the question.

{ Looks like it, Master. Hmm, since this strange things doesn't seem hostile to us. We can take a little bit of rest on the battles. Master, would we approach the castle while this Noble Phantasm is happening or after it ended? }

Ritsuka thought for a moment while receiving an intense stare from his sister. Then he decided to ask their opinion. Theo was unsure since he doesn't know this one. He have not encountered this event in the game. He was hesitant in giving advice this time. Theo was afraid that he would give the wrong advice and screw everything up with that encouragement.

Da Vinci opted for approaching the castle as possible and using this opportunity to eliminate Jalter and the remaining Servants. Meanwhile Doctor Romani opted for them to rest a bit and saying that despite that one of the Servants rebelling against Jalter, he wasn't certain if that Servant doesn't also hold a grudge against them.

Ritsuka and Gudako wince when they heard doctor Romani while remembering Saint Martha. Then the unknown unidentified servant who seems close to her.

Eventually they decided to rest a bit within the perimeters of the Orleans. They also think of various plans that they would employ when the noble Phantasm disappear.

Theo was already having a headache and feeling afraid for the future with a lot of unknown factors entering in this Singularity. He thought in his mind that it was just the Orleans Singularity. What would happen with the next Singularities? Could they defeat the fake king of mages/ aka Goetia? Damn, that troll of a vampire apostle... He wasn't fit with this kind of job. He wasn't good when he was under this kind of pressure. Theo wondered if he should have just shut his mouth and keep the information to his self.

But looking at the screen, Gudako and Ritsuka enthusiastically talking with Mash and the Servants about their plans, the Servants skills and role when they confronted Jalter... There was also Marie Antoinette and Mozart who was joining in the conversation. Theo felt that revealing the various knowledge that he knows was worth in the end.

He hoped that he just didn't fuck up too much of the events. Oh, who he was kidding. The arrival of two counter guardians has really decided to fuck up with his knowledge. Joining the two masters to help in clearing the Singularity sent by Alaya to fulfill a certain mission. If there was a time to freak out, Theo thought that it was appropriate for him to freak out when those two counter guardians appeared.

But he can't do it since it would be out of character too much. He was also within the vicinity of the Chaldea staffs and also Da Vinci and Doctor Romani. Later, he said to himself. He can do it once he was back on his room. Instead, he decided to request another cup of coffee. Again, he was given a cup of hot chocolate.

Canon have derailed and they were in the wrecking train. Theo thought inside his mind. The good news was, looks like Alaya was being proactive earlier this time and Gudako was happy with two four star servants assisting them on their mission. Theo can already see that Gudako would try hard to recruit the two counter guardians after defeating Jalter and retrieving the Holy Grail. She would try really hard to make a contract with them while her sibling, Ritsuka would look exasperated with her actions in the background.
