Serpentine Queen

She was always curious about normal, everyday, human life, and as one who was made for the literal purpose of connecting her people to humanity, she felt very self-justified in escaping the church. And with perfect timing, her little brother is conceived, distracting everyone’s attention.

My... Water?

"Well," pushing her chair away from the desk, "I'll ask Kitso tomorrow, he's got some lizards so he'll probably know more."

Rude. Lizards are food. FOOD. As if they could compare.

Making an odd noise, she stretches out her arms. "Now time for bed."

Human, what about my water?

She walks into the bathroom to brush her teeth. After about three minutes, as she's leaving the room, she stops.

"I forgot something..."

Finally human!

"Probably wasn't important."

Idiotic human!

Raising her hand to touch my head she asks, "Now how are you going to sleep?"

I will get that water later. But for now, I drop to the floor and head towards the open bedroom door. She follows behind me quietly, and I wriggle onto the twin bed, coil myself on the pillow and look back at her. She holds her mouth as soon as I look at her, is she going to retch?

"Pfft! You look reeaaallll pleased with yourself!"

Ah laughing, well whatever then.

After calming down, Hazal crawled into bed fling asleep after some tossing and turning. After listening to her breathing smooth for a while, I slithered off the bed and onto the floor, heading toward the door.

She shut the door.

...

No other choice then, I shift to my human form to open the door and walk to the bathroom. I am half human but... I always feel strange in this form, it's slow, and weak, smaller than others, and to be a 'proper human' you must wear clothes, I'm not going to just carry clothes everywhere as a snake, that's to tedious, colors to, colors are weird. I can kinda see color in snake form, but full human eyes are much, much, sharper. It's harder to tell temperature though, hot things don't glow so I end up burning myself... like just now. I tried using the sink.

Standing in the mirror is a fourteen year old girl with a hight reaching only four foot eight, light alabaster skin and jet black hair, each with a slight tint of blue, locks of hair twist slightly with her annoyance as she stares at the reddened skin clashing with her black nails.

Well... this part I can do as a snake. I put a plug in, turn back into a Mexican Kingsnake to adjust the temperature and let it fill before slipping into the sink. Leaving my head on the edge, relaxing in the warm water I... kinda... fell asleep.

"HAZAL!"
