14 ROYALE ACADEMY I

"What's happening over there?" Hillary asked while looking in the direction of the campus gate. There were many people crowding the place and most of them were girls. "Is there some kind of celebrity visiting the academy today?"

"I don't think so," Brigette responded while taking a short glance as well. "All I can see is women going crazy for a hottie."

Serina wasn't the least bit interested in this topic at all. She continued walking towards their class building without even looking at the commotion at the gate.

"You're a killjoy," Hillary commented when she ran towards her best friend and held her elbow to slow her down. "Would it kill you if you join in on the fun that we're having?"

"What's fun about that?" Serina retorted which rendered her two best friends speechless. "I can go along with your antics about your crushes but don't drag me if you want to look for a different guy."

"We're not." Both Hillary and Brigette answered.

Serina looked at them and rolled her eyes in disbelief. Leaving them no other choice, she picked up her pace and headed to their first subject. She didn't even bother looking back.

At the gate, Nicholas looked at the woman who was kilometers away from him. She walked with her two friends, carrying her books elegantly as she laughed to what the two girls were saying. She may be far but Nicholas would always be able to identify her from the crowd. The figure of her back, the sway of her hair along with her sexy hip, plus the scent that always entice him – there was no way for him to miss her from the throng of people.

"Uhm…could you please excuse me? I need to go to the administrative building." Nicholas stated but the ladies around him still flocked around him. The smile that he practiced so for quite some time had faltered and the coldness in his eyes became obvious to everyone. "Could you please move away? I'm not an ornament that you'd have to stare and check."

The crowd suddenly turned silent and made separated into two groups, making way for him to pass through unhindered. His mood was already fluctuating since he found out that Serina didn't come back home last night and it irritates him so much because he has no idea why.

"Oh god! He's so cool." One of the female students commented while reaching out her hand; as if she wanted to touch him but couldn't.

"Damn it! His voice was so sexy."

"I could listen to him speak 24/7 and I would never get bored with his voice."

"I haven't seen him naked but I can clearly make out the abs that were hidden beneath his shirt."

"I think I just dropped my panty when he looked at me earlier."

"Which class could he be in? What could be his name?"

"Ah! Do you think he's a transferee?"

The female students' discussion of this new dream lover that appeared on their campus was completely different from the male's discussion. They didn't lose their minds like the girls did and they didn't drop their underwear. The men just stood to the side, watched the newcomer leave and as soon as he was out of their sight, they started forming groups.

"I think that man can play sports. It would be good if we can scout him to join our varsity." The soccer team captain, who happened to be at the gate during the commotion, stated to his teammates as they walked to their school building.

"I'm not sure if he'd be joining a club or a varsity but let's watch out against other clubs from snatching him." The basketball team captain also expressed his opinion on the talent that he saw.

"Uhm, senior, have you ever thought of the question of whether that guy is a college student or a senior high school student? Looks can be deceiving after all."

The basketball team captain was silent for a moment and then slowly nodded his head. "Let's keep an eye on him for now and figure out this man's identity."

They had no idea that being pulled towards Nicholas was a kind of charm that werewolves carry. They can charm people just like vampires but their ability was only a level lower than the vampires. For them, charm can be used to gain attention and also to mesmerize other people into doing something that they didn't want to do. It works like hypnosis.

Nicholas finally arrived in front of the administrative building under the stares of many students. He never once looked left or right, just walking straight to where he wanted to go. He schooled his face in front of the huge double door before knocking it to announce his presence.

A middle-aged woman opened the door to the office and stuck her head out to see who was visiting them. "You are…?" She intentionally dragged the question in order to get the answer from the guest himself.

"Nicholas. My name is Nicholas Vallardi."

"Oh! Mr. Vallardi. Sorry to keep you waiting. Come inside. The dean and the headmaster have been waiting for you." She opened the door a little bit wider and closed it right after the guest got inside. "This way please." She led him to the conference room where Nicholas will be briefed of the transfer.

While he dealt with the whole process with the help of the dean and the secretary of the headmaster, Serina was currently listening to morning lectures. She could hear her classmates talk about the handsome guy they saw earlier and specifically the description of how hot he was.

Her eyebrow raised but she didn't say anything. She was completely unfazed even after seeing the most handsome man that the whole class was talking about.

In front of her was a book fully opened as if she was on the same page as her teacher. Whenever her classmates flip a page, she would do the same. The only difference was that, if you would look closely and check the content of her book, it was nothing but werewolves, dragons, and vampires – beings that other people thought as imaginary and unreal.

If she didn't have the ability, she would think the same way as other people.

'I hope that guy will leave our house soon. I really want to go home.' Serina thought to herself while reading some things here and there. She wasn't really hostile to the person whom she had never met before but she felt really annoyed that she couldn't go back home yet. As much as she loved to stay over at her friend's house, she still likes to be with her family.

"Ms. Wentworth, can you please answer question number 5?" the teacher called Serina which pulled her back to reality. Thankfully, she's the kind of student who studies in advance whenever she can so, she was prepared when her name was called. The moment Serina stood up, her classmates started whispering while looking outside of their classroom – to the corridor. When she turned to see what was the matter, her gaze met the most vivid cerulean eyes she had ever seen.

'No. I think I've seen those eyes before.' Serina thought but the man smiled at her which made her frown. 'Tsk! Such a flirt.'
