IS SHE HER OWN PERSON OR HER FATHER'S SISTER II

"Why can't they love someone from the vampire clan?" Serina asked her father with mere curiosity. Since she was having this conversation with them, she might as well ask them as many things as she could.

Michael thought about it and frowned. "I have never heard of werewolves and vampires falling for each other. Maybe in the future there will be."

"Oh." Serina didn't say much about it but her brain was already making up stories of her own. "So, what about your sister?"

"My sister couldn't accept the fact that the man he loves already love someone else. So, she put a curse on his mate. Even though she hated them so much, my sister didn't put a strong curse on her."

"What's the curse?" Serina asked while looking for something she could eat. She felt like she's watching a movie with mere description from her father.

Michael took a deep breath and sighed. "It's to curse her to never have children in the future. Supposedly, it should be that curse but our father hindered her plan and it messed up. The curse was changed to having one child per birth."

"You mean, the she-wolf can only give birth to one little pup?"

"Yup. And as someone who loves wolves so much, you've watched them and read books about them, you should know that on average, a she-wolf will give birth to 4-6 pups in a single pregnancy." Serina gasped in horror when she realized what her father was trying to point out. "You have thought it correctly. Even if she gives birth to 3 or 4 or even ten pups, only one will survive."

"And what does that have to do with me? I didn't even know all this until now. Why am I involved in all this matter?"

Michael looked down on the floor, as if contemplating or was probably looking for the right words that he could use to tell his daughter about their existence. In the end, he raised the hem of his shirt and turned around to show his daughter the tattoo he got which looked exactly the same as hers.

"We are descendant of the black dragon which is why our tattoos are black. Also, only the chosen ones will have this tattoo. If I die, someone from our tribe will have the tattoo. If you die, someone from our tribe will get your tattoo. Since my sister died and I happen to have a daughter few years after, the black dragon chose you."

"So, am I your daughter or am I your sister who come back to life?" Serina asked the question that bugged her for several minutes now. "And am I going to become a dragon?"

"You really are curious, aren't you?" Michael commented and flicked his daughter's forehead. "You are my daughter. The black dragon chose you, not my sister. And once we die, we really die. There's no such thing as reincarnation for us. Only our dragons will reincarnate."

Serina placed her hand in front of her with her palm open facing his father. "Stop for a moment, dad. Let's stop here for now. Give me time to process everything because I think my brain is about to explode from information overload."

"Alright. We will leave you for now. If you have questions, just come and find me in the study room?"

Her parents stood up from her bed and walked towards the door. They were just about to go out when she stopped them. "So, mom is really human, right? You are not lying to me?"

"I'm 101% human. Don't be silly." Irene told her daughter and laugh. "In that way, you have someone who can freak out with you."

"But you don't seem freaked out." Serina retorted. "Never mind. You can go now. I'll ponder over these things."

Saying that she'll ponder over it, Serina was actually lying. Because the moment her head hit the pillow, she fell asleep. She slept all the way until six in the evening. If it wasn't for her best friend calling her, she would probably sleep until the next day.

"Rina?" Brigette asked when there was no sound coming from the other line even after it was picked up. "Rina, are you alright? Is there any problem?"

"Yeah." Serina answered instantly. "I suddenly felt stupid because I'm getting interested with dragons and vampires."

"You're not interested with wolves anymore?" Brigette questioned.

"I am and I will always be. You know I love wolves and – " her father's words echoed in her head which stopped Cayenne from talking. 'My sister fell in love with a werewolf who already found his mate. A werewolf. A wolf.' Serina took a deep breath and sighed. "Let's not talk about it anymore."

"By the way, I'm calling you to remind you of our assignments. I sent them to your email already so, you better start answering them."

"Why didn't you send me the answer instead?"

"I don't want you to be lazy. I'll hang up now. See you tomorrow."

"See you."

Serina put down her phone and laid on her bed while staring at the ceiling. "I'm not normal. That makes sense. No normal person can conjure a storm our of her will and hear voices directly in her head. Whatever." She got off her bed and went to the bathroom to take a shower and get dressed.

"So, I can lift the curse that was on the she-wolf. Does that mean I can also put a curse? Oh god! That's amazing." If it was someone else, they probably fainted from shock or most probably get scared of what their future would be. But for Serina, she never let herself to be in a disadvantage. Since she's got powers, she'd make sure that no one can bully her, her family or her friends. "My family don't need it probably. After all, Dad is just like me."

"I'm not like you." Michael's voice echoed directly in her mind. "Come down here and have an early dinner."

"This is pretty convenient to talk don't you think so dad?"

"I think so, too but your mother will probably skin us alive if she knows we're communicating like this. You don't want her to feel being left out, right?"

"Right."
