Flynn

I sat at the bar of the S.W.O.R.D. HQ. Kinda it's basically a bar where we sit talk and play games and if we want look for jobs on the board. I was talking to Julian when Marcus, the bosses messenger walked in. "Black!" He called my name. "That would be me," I placed my drink down with a bit of unnecessary force as I stood to face the man in all white. "Would you mind telling me about this," Marcus pulled out a black feather that was dripping with what I assume is Clay's blood.

"Clay tried to jeopardize the mission and attempted to attack me. The target chased me. I ended up in a police car and escaped. Oh and yea and I killed Clay within a second. But if you haven't noticed I could use some antidote," I pointed out my wound. The skin becoming a pale brown. "I assumed as much. Just making sure, here." Marcus didn't question me he knew better. He tossed me the antidote. Oh yea I forgot to mention. The ink on his blade is a poison. So yea.

"So why did you let them catch you?" Julian asked as Marcus walked out. "So they would start calling me the Black Angel." I shrugged picking up my glass. I noticed the crack I left behind from slamming my cup. "Here this should cover it," I handed Julian a hundred. Julian wasn't going to fix it and I knew it. But it was the courteous thing to do. I may be a killer but I have manners.

"Try being gentle Black." Julian warned. I smiled, "I'll do my best," Julian sighed. "But I gotta go Jul, got some business to attend to," I said leaving money to pay for the drinks. Plus some tip. After all Julian is my favorite bartender.

"Mr. Whitmore!" I said. Now having glasses and wearing ordinary attire. A white turtle neck long sleeve tucked into some trousers, with black shoes. "Flynn!" He greeted with a wide smile. "I heard your looking for a new detective for the Sword investigations, I think I could help," Mr. Whitmore smiled. He knew I had previously worked as a detective. I did it for a job for a few months but apparently he remembered. He contacted me a few weeks ago. "That would be great. Your the perfect fit Flynn," he smiled.

"Sorry not a touchy touchy person," I smiled purposely not showing my teeth. "The name's Flynn Ezinburg," she smiled at me. She really has no clue who I am. I chuckled a bit. "Any leads so far?" I asked her as we sat down at our desks. "We had a major one. But he got away," she ran her hands through her hair that at this point was now down out of her ponytail. "The incident with Black right? Chief told me about it." She nodded. "Are you old enough to be a cop?" She asked glancing at me after a moment of silence. "I'd hope so. I'm 23." She let out a small gasp. "Is that too young?" I raised an eyebrow. "Not really. Just a bit shocking," she chuckled. I still cannot believe she has no clue who I am. Her all seeing eyes seem to be struggling. Hmph.

"So do you know anything about them?" She asked. This is where I knew I would have to be careful with my answer. "I know some, but not much." This was not a lie. I knew quite a bit compared to her. But not enough.

"Like?" She pried. "I know the name of a few members. Including the infamous sniper, called Ranger." I told her. "How?!" She stood up. "It doesn't matter how. But his name is Grant Wells." I smiled. Nearly showing my teeth. "Damn. Your good rookie," she said as she pulled her hair into a ponytail. She began to type on her computer. After about five minutes she jumped up. "Got it! An address!" She sounded excited.

"When we're heading there do you mind if I go in a few minutes early? I have a score to settle," I asked. She furrowed her brows in confusion. "He's a trained assassin. Are you sure you can handle it?" I struggled to hold back laughter. "Yes I am a hundred percent certain I can handle it." I could see the shock in her purple eyes. But she let out a breath and nodded. "Three minutes and if you don't come out with him I'm coming in. Got it?" She raised and eyebrow. "Got it Murphy," I agreed. It wouldn't take me more than one to do what I needed.

She drove us both down. In a new cop car replacing the one I

wrecked. Oops. "Three minutes." She repeated. "Yup." I got out of the car and walked up to the house. "Grant!" I said as I knocked. "Coming!" He shouted. He opened the door. It took him a moment, but he quickly did. I saw the look of terror spread on his face as he realized who I was. I shoved him inside and slammed the door shut behind me. "BLACK!" He practically screamed. I covered his mouth. "Bite your tongue!" I growled. "Why are you here Black?" He asked as I removed my hand.

"For fun," I chuckled and smiled. "Are you going to kill me?" He asked. "Yes, but not yet," I whispered against his neck. Wondering weather to actually wait or not. "Two minutes." I said aloud. "What does that mean?" He asked. "It means I have one minute and 45 seconds to decide weather to kill you right now or not." I released him. "Actually I'll wait. It'll be more fun." I pulled hand cuffs on to his wrists as I shoved his face into the wall. I dragged him out with ease even against his struggle.

As I walked she held a gun to us...
