30 Not losing hope

Xiao Xing looked at Xie Jayden with a smile on his face and slowly asked him about work.

"Jay gege, Zhang Kai told me that the board of directors are waiting for me to meet them. I am ready, shall we go now?" As he asked him Xie Jayden nodded his head and Xiao Xing took a step towards the door to go out and Xie Jayden followed the suit with an invisible smile on his face.

But then the sudden turn of Xiao Xing ceased the satisfaction that stayed only for a few moments.

"Zhang Kai, please take care of Zhou Cheng. He is very choosy about food." Xiao Xing stopped and tried to remember Zhou Cheng's liking. "He loves to eat Paomo. Can you ask someone to deliver it for him?"

Zhang Kai who was listening to each word of Xiao Xing turned his gaze to the infuriating alpha, Xiao Xing, to speak more as soon as he saw the volcano that was going to erupt soon.

"A-Yuan, I will take care of it. Now, please go, otherwise, I will kick you out of here."

Xiao Xing smiled back at him when he heard teasing in his words and turned around to leave the office. Xiao Xing went out of the office on his own without realising that Alpha is left behind.

Zhang Kai strode fast to Xie Jayden and whispered in his ears only to stop him from creating more issues between him and Mo Yuan.

"Xie Jayden, look he hasn't lost all his memory, only a few parts of it. Isn't it justified that he remembered about the person's liking who stayed by him 24/7?" His words put sense in Xie Jayden's brain and he looked at Zhou Cheng with a pale face.

"Why do I have to fight for him so hard, Zhang Kai? Isn't it already enough? Isn't it hurting enough?" The pain in his heart slowly brought out from his eyes to his best friend.

"I know it's unbearable to see him like this but you have to fight for your true love." Zhang Kai too turned to look at sleeping gorgeous omega and the next second he heard his friend's determined words.

"I am not losing hope even if it means that I need to wait for him till the end of my life. I will make sure to get him back with me." And he strode away after finishing his words and Zhang Kai remained rooted to his spot with emotions he felt for his best friend.

"I know you will never leave your hope and for that matter, I will always be there with you even if I will need to fight against the world or with Mo Yuan."

"Mr Mo Yuan. Welcome back. We were eagerly waiting for you to come back." Mr Qin, one of the directors of the board said while smiling at Xiao Xing when he entered the boardroom of Xie cooperation.

"That's great then I must say I am delighted to know that you thought of me so well." Xiao Xing answered back as he looked at Mr Qin who Mo Jin referred to as the poisonous snake of the Xie cooperation when he was teaching Xiao Xing about how to handle business matters for that day.

"Yes, yes. When we heard the news of your accident exactly the month before the opening ceremony of Tian's fashion house, we did not believe it." Mr Qin said while he moved forward to give Xiao Xing a handshake. "And see you are here in front of us fit and fine. We all are so happy to have you back."

But before they could make a formal handshake, a hand appeared out of nowhere and took Mr Qin's hand in his hand.

"It is nice to see you are still here, Mr Qin." Xie Jayden said when he held Mr Qin's hand tightly in his hand and gave a squeeze a bit tighter than normal. "I thought you must be left for your next meetings as you don't have an interest in Tian's fashion house since first."

A firm grip on his hand made Mr Qin shake in the place. Withdrawing his hand awkwardly he looked at Xie Jayden and tried to give a smile that felt like a twitch on his lips.

"Yes, Xie Jayden, I was about to move for my next meeting but when I heard that Mo Yuan is coming to meet us, I cancelled the meeting."

"Well, then that's great. Have a seat. We will be giving Mo Yuan a general idea about next month's planning on Tian's fashion house's opening." Saying this Xie Jayden put the hand behind the fragile omega's back and with a gentle push on it, he showed the way to go to the main chairs of the conference room where they were supposed to sit.

Xiao Xing then followed the lead and accepted everyone's greetings with a comprehending expression on his face standing next to Xie Jayden's chair. Zhao Zhang then pulled his chair out to make the omega sit in his place but the closeness of another omega's changed pheromones made him feel a bit uneasy about it. He was about to go near Xiao Xing just to check it again but soon the cold stare from his boss rendered him at the place and he ceased to listen to his heart.

Xiao Xing sat on the chair indifferently but noticed the protective demeanour of Xie Jayden around him while talking with Mr Qin.

"You can start with the presentation." Xie Jayden ordered one of his employees.

"Thank you, sir. Welcome back Mo sir. We are really happy to see you again. I wish you blessed with a long and healthy life." The handsome man who welcomed Xiao Xing at the entrance stood in front and started with his insights of the project of Tian's fashion house to Mo Yuan.

"Sir, as you recollect, The Tian's fashion house was your priority when that unfortunate accident took place. We were about to inaugurate it but the project got on hold after your missing report for uncertainty." He said while he started the slide show which he prepared for the conference.

"Sir, this project has again become a top priority in Xie businesses. We are estimating the next inauguration in two months now." He said looking at Xie Jayden when Xie Jayden nodded his head lightly.

"So what are the strategies for its promotion this time?" Xiao Xing asked when he felt the pause in the presentation.

"Sir, we are planning to go for all types of advertisements which will start by the end of the month." He said with a bit of a hesitant tone and started his presentation about the strategies and planning for one hour.

But that was a limit for Xiao Xing listening to the same old techniques of opening a new project.

"Stop working on those age-old things. It is so irritating as soon as it starts." Xiao Xing blurted out, getting irritated by the presentation.

Everyone looked around at him in big shock when they all suddenly heard his furious voice that stopped the presentation in between.

Not knowing what to do the handsome young man stood rooted on his spot and Xie Jayden just stared at Xiao Xing with a stoic face that hadn't told anyone what he was thinking about the situation.

Though the expression wasn't clear the intimation in that stare was evident. Was Xie Jayden angry at Mo Yuan for expressing himself strongly?

Everyone's faces got pale while a shiver ran through the spine.

"Oh-oh, this is not good." One of the board of directors whispered in another member's ear. "Do you remember last time how they argued? That should not happen again." He said while shaking his head.
