Chapter Thirteen: The Setback

Just as life seemed to be returning to some semblance of normalcy, Claire began experiencing new symptoms—severe headaches, vision problems, and extreme fatigue. Fearing the worst, Julien rushed her to the hospital.

After a series of tests, the doctor delivered the devastating news. "The tumor has returned, Claire. It's more aggressive this time, and it's spreading rapidly."

Claire felt as if the ground had been pulled from under her. Julien held her tightly, his own tears flowing freely. "What can we do?" he asked, his voice breaking.

The doctor shook his head sadly. "We can try another round of treatments, but the prognosis is not good. I'm so sorry."

Claire's world crumbled around her. She had fought so hard, endured so much, and now it seemed all was lost. Julien held her close, his heart breaking as he felt her sobs wrack her frail body.
