Revelations

Kurai watched as Abyss and Aether seemed to have a telepathic conversation between themselves, but now that he knew that he would receive the answers he sought, he decided that he would wait for them to speak once they were ready.

It didn't take very long for them to finish before they turned to him, but it concerned him that both of them looked so wary about being the first one to talk.

Aether stepped forward first though, despite his reluctance, "You know that I once mentioned that I hadn't been trapped against my will?"

Kurai nodded and Aether grimaced, "I had trapped myself in an effort to stave off the memories of what I had done."
