3 Chapter 3. Back to reality

It has been some time since I first saw that faint blue light.

Soon after seeing that one blue light, which looked like a star in the night, more and more blue lights started appearing. Some bigger than the other, some brighter than the other. One at a time, they appeared. The once seemingly dark void, now looking like a beautifully night sky with blue stars lighting up the sky.

It looked like the beginning of the universe, the creation of my very own universe. A creation to keep me company, a sign of hope.

A sense I thought was once lost, a faint warmth could be felt from these 'stars'. This small kindle lit something in me, which I once thought lost. I can't even describe how this seemingly small sensation made me feel.

Emotions, feelings, thoughts and hope, once again emerged. As awakening from a slumber I felt alive again.

Just looking around, exploring this vast night sky. I was content. A sight so beautiful, It made me feel at peace. Like a piece of art, I couldn't stop looking at it.

I don't know how long I have been looking, my very own universe. It reminded me of memory I forgot I had of me laying on the grass on a warm summer night as a kid, reaching for the stars.

Unconsciously I did the same, reaching for the stars in my own universe. The image of my hand reaching for the blue stars in my universe. I could see a hand appearing. Soon after that I could see my whole body in third person, like I created a spiritual body in my universe.

Like an avatar of me for this world.

Excited and feeling omnipotent, I envisioned reaching for the stars, just like the memory of me as a child. The star I was reaching for actually started gravitating towards me. Slowly becoming closer and closer to me. It didn't take long before I was face to face with this blue light ball.

When it got withing arms reach to me, it didn't stop gravitating towards me. Gravitating towards the centre of my body, to my heart. It slowly entered the body of the avatar I created.

The blue light entering my heart.

*Ba bump* *Ba bump*

I can feel a faint vibration with every *Ba bump*

"Is this my heart beat"

'Not from the avatar body, from my actual body?' Is what I thought.

I can sense the blue light in my real heart. With every heartbeat I can feel the vibration of my heart valves opening and closing. I can sense the blood cells around this blue light passing by.

Unconsciously I started following these red disk shaped blood cells. Going with the flow, I could sense the surface of the blood vessel. With the blood vessel getting narrower and narrower it reached an end. Some things broke through the blood vessel, going to the mussels and the different layers of the skin.

Once the blue light broke through the outer layer of the blood vessel, it dispersed. Spreading in multiple directions, I could see the figure of a hand appearing.

'Is that.... my hand?' Was what I thought, full of hope.

Immediately after the figure of my hand appeared, I could feel a faint soft sensation. 'My hand touching something' is what is said in thought head. It took a few seconds for me to truly realise what is just said.

Me...

Touching something?

I could actually feel something.

A sense that I once lost

I could feel the sensation of touching again because of that blue light that I obtained.

The touch through my hand could feel something, something soft and smooth.

I remember this softness, this is what a mattress feels like.

'I am in a bed'

The realisation that he could feel through his hand again and that he was lying in a bed made Hanuel think of many things.

But the most prominent realisation was: 'I am alive'

The sensation of touching a soft mattress with his hand slowly started to fade away, returning Hanuel to his own universe, where the blue stars started to appear again.

However, he wasn't disappointed.

Hanuel has always been intelligent for his age and started making the link between the blue lights and being able to touch again.

With this information in mind, Hanuel started to gather all the stars in the sky.

Now with all these blue lights gathered before his avatar, Hanuel took in all the lights into his body.

All the lights quickly spread to all parts of his body, from the tips of his fingers all the way down to his feet. Hanuel started to raise his hand to the sky.

At this very moment the blue light began spreading to his head.

First arriving at his nose, Hanuel could smell a slight bitter smell with and undertone of an artificial fragrance of soaps and cleaners. The smell reminding him of a hospital, where he has been to for far too many time.

The light continued to spread in his head, arriving at the eyes.

But nothing happened...

Then the light arrived at his ears. Hanuel could hear a high pitched electrical sound with an unchanging tone.

*beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep*

Hanuel recognized that tone.

It was the tone of a heart monitor flatlining.

'The thing that was on my finger that fell of when I raised my arm was probably the thing measuring my heartrate' was what Hanuel thought with a joyful smirk, still processing that he could not only touch again, but also smell, taste and hear again.

*creeeeeaak*

The sound of a door opening, and the small *thumps* of something walking towards Hanuel could be heard before:

"DOCTOR, HE HAS WOKEN UP FROM HIS COMA!!!!' A loud feminine scream could be heard, the sound of a nurse with a surprised voice.

'A coma???' thought Hanuel dumbfounded.

'The thing that I experienced wasn't a coma' Hanuel tried to say, but his voice couldn't form from his vocal cords, which he hadn't used since he was six years old.
