1 LIVING WITH HIM PART 01

Year 1556

Selena's hand pressed against the cold floor of the basement, dirt and grime smeared her skin, her petite body felt cold under the stormy night despite the huge fire that inflamed the manor. She was held captive by her Aunt who killed her parents so she could take over their business which was now falling apart. According to the scuttlebutt, which the public had believed, their family was raided with some bunch of rebels and no one survived, but that was nothing but lies , she was spared yes but she spend her three whole years in prison by her own aunt who wants nothing but the fame they had. The chain that confine her has been broken but Selena didn't stir, her prison cell is about to collapse but she has no plan on fleeing for she has nowhere to go. The fire has now reached the corridor of her cell but she cared less, her beloved mother and father is now dead and the only relative she have is probably now burning.

The ceiling broke down and destroyed the cell in the process. The smoke and dust filled the room and she knew that any moment now, she'll either get crushed or get burnt alive. Turning her head up, her eyes widen on the sight of a dark headed man who looked a little older compared to her with red eyes staring at her red orbs "Duke Michealist, did you found something?" The man from above ask and peek down, she couldn't see him but she was to surprise to even care. "Yes, and something very surprising." she suddenly felt dizziness and her sight started to blacken, she didn't know what was happening but she hope that death has come and pursue her.

Sebastian stood tall in front of Selena as she slowly getting unconscious, the young man walk down from the pile of broken cement and catched her before she could bash on the ground. "And so, we were right" Sebastian murmured to himself and scope her in his arms and unchained her. When he got back on the surface, his assistant, Rhyle, was surprise to see Selena in his arms. "Duke Michealist, is that?" Sebastian nod, knowing what Rhyle meant. "lets get out of here before the place breaks down"

Morning came and Sebastian had Selena in his room, sound asleep. When they arrived that night, he had his servants cleaned her, dressed her, and laid her down in his bed as he finished his report about the mission. "So, care to share what happened last night?" Sebastian looked at the man who just invaded the room"What a surprise to see the lord himself here" Sebastian said with lack of enthusiasm. "Now now, no need to be sarcastic, come on, I heard you brought a girl, humor me."

On his way to the study room, Jullious met Rhyle on his way and was told about Sebastian bringing a girl on their way home without any further details since he was in hurry to bring the report to the council, leaving Lord Jullious baffled "It is nothing like that Jul, your mind is way too wild " Jullious' eyes remain on Sebastian who doesn't look intrigue at all, waiting for the young man to speak. " We were right, she's alive, and was prison in fact" Jullious finally felt clarified and made a slight nod, knowing who he meant "Carol Mandrea must've thought that the council could easily be hoodwinked" Jullious just nod in agreement.

Sebastian's parents died when he was eleven years old and took over the family household when he was twelve. Jullious is ten years older than him and grew an interest in him, took care of him and had him worked for him, it was a give and take where both of them benefit from each other's custody.

The maid knocked on the door to inquire, "Duke Michealist, Lord Jullious, sorry to interfere, the lady has awoken."Sebastian dismissed the maid and left the room with Jullious following him behind. Sebastian made a turn and stop in front of a huge door, he made a slight knock, pushed the door open and entered the room and Jullious followed. Sebastian's eyes were glued to the young female who sat on the bed with her back on the pillow who's red eyes stared outside the window. "How are you feeling?" Sebastian stood beside the bed with Jullious by his side, he waited for her to speak but received otherwise. Sebastian's lips jerked in annoyance, this unfamiliar person ignoring him truly disturb him. "Oi, I'm asking you a question, are you deaf?" Annoyance is palpable in his tone, yet she continued to ignore the miffed man beside her. Jullious kept silent for he was amused by the display the two was giving him, Selena noticed how amused Jullious looked but she just shrug it off. "Oi woman-" Selena turned her head and interrupt him "Yes, I can hear your aggravating clamor." her red eyes now staring back at his own.

This provoked Sebastian even more and his hand clutched, the woman was getting on his nerve and it was keeping Jullious entertained which provoked him further. Trying to maintain his composure, he took a deep breath and stared at the woman with a solemn look etched on his face, waiting for her to answer his question but received rather a question, which he thought, a futile one, "why did you save me?" His actions made her bewildered, that night she was prepared to die with the most horrible way as possible but this man in front of her turned things around, she's someone unfamiliar to him so she wondered. "Because it's my mission" Sebastian said nonchalantly. Selena felt bitter with his lies,"Your mission was to annihilate the people who was responsible for my parent's death"Sebastian eyed her with bewilderment plastered on his face. "You should teach your maid how to keep their mouth shut, they chatter a lot." Jullious clapper his hands before the two vampire fought,

"Now now."

Both of them turned their heads to Jullious, "yes what you heard was right Miss. Selena, but it was I who told him to save you." Selena looked puzzled as she stared at the unknown jolly man in front of her. Jullious who notice her questioned look, he raise his hands on his chest, "Sorry for my late introduction, I am Jullious Veangence, son of the lord Wilbert Veangence the third, it is my pleasure to meet you Miss. Selena Levithian adn I am glad to see you alive" Selena felt her eyes widen, she didn't know that the previous lord has perished and his son had taken over the position. "My apologies milord, my behavior was atrocious" Selena bowed her head down and Jullious just chuckled, "It's okay Miss Selena, I am not offended at all, as a matter of fact, I have to thank you for the entertainment you gave."The mystified look she had made Jullious chuckled. Sebastian looked at the huge pendulum clock standing by the side and turned to Jullious, "Don't you have something else to do?"

"Ah, yes I do, Sorry but I have to take my leave, I hope to see you soon, Miss. Selena" Jullious left after the two exchanged their goodbyes, leaving Sebastian and Selena alone in the room. Both were silent, and gaze were on different ways, "I'll have my servants dress you up, I'll be in the drawing room." His looks were calm but his voice was demanding, Selena watched his back as Sebastian left the room.
