Post-traumatic Growth

[A Month Later]

"You are glowing!" Kathleen observed as she admired Kimberly who had only returned from her honeymoon only a week ago. It was the first time they were seeing, and that was because Kimberly had called her the previous evening which was Friday, and asked if she would mind having lunch with her at her home. 

Kimberly had moved into Eric's house upon their return to the country, and she looked very much at home dressed in a short pink gown and floppy slippers. Hanging on the walls of the house were their wedding photos.

Kimberly smiled, "I know, right? I guess that is what happens when you marry a good man that genuinely loves you," Kimberly said, still smiling happily.

Her happiness was infectious, and it automatically made Kathleen smile too, "I guess so," Kathleen said with a nod.
