Prologue
It was pouring heavily that day.
The little boy was alone in the playground, swinging on the swings. He had short blond hair, a pale face, and beautiful clothes from an expensive atelier.
But despite his young age — the boy's eyes were dull. If not to say blank.
Silently swaying back and forth in the rain, he sought to postpone his return home as late as possible. For more than anything, the boy hated this very place. Not counting the people who lived there.
The illustrious Ashford clan, one of the three founders of the kingdom of Azeroth, had remained great for generations. Its authority could perhaps be compared even to that of the Imperial family.
People respected and revered them, and children knew the names of Ashford's heirs from birth. It went on for a very, very long time… Until one day it all fell apart like a house of cards.
