Jin Chow recalled his preparation to be admitted as a Knight Apprentice. Before the enrolment, he educated himself and took on challenging jobs like hunting and putting his life on the line and, as a result, earned a huge amount of money.

He worked his ass off to brace for rigorous training on the enrollment program when his elder brother told him he had only one chance. Failure is not an option for Chow.

His brother has been an utter embarrassment. He didn't know what would happen until you were within the domain monarchy, and how intense the preparation would be. His brother started going downhill inside the monarchy and was ejected a week later. Every day is a test, and if you fail just once in those days, you will be out of the monarchy.

He recalled his brother's story about the Knight Training Instructor's speech before the training began. "If we take you to the battlefield like this, you'll end up being fodder for the bugs. An ordinary person doesn't have a chance. That's why you're all handpicked despite being rubbish. So all of you that got a blessing can be nurtured that most of the people here don't have. Therefore, work hard to become a knight or quit and become a tracker, a Tyranny dog that serves for their errands."

Life beyond the Monarchy is wretched following a great disaster, unlike before, where there is always stability and order. While it is in human territory, it does not guarantee the freedom of life at borders. Sleeping at night, fearing an invasion from giant bugs running around, can cause you a lot of mental issues. The kingdom has outstanding walls that can shield them, unlike most of the people who live outside. That's why everybody is so desperate to be a Knight; it's going to come with a lot of benefits outside the kingdom in these desperate conditions.

Any family was required to send a member of the monarchy regardless of how bad their blessing was. Some families must all go because of their blessings, but they won't welcome anyone as a knight. The Monarchy knew that somewhere, in a particular region, they could use those blessings.

It's helpful to have a knight in your home. All the members will be accepted to the monarchy's sanitarium, where they earn an immense sum of money per week to ensure the knights that their families are in good hands.

Besides becoming a knight, a hunter is another way to get enormous money, but that job is too dangerous. That's why they all looked at the work as a disappointment or a desperate work for people. You still have to put your life in line with unethical teammates on a raid. There's no teamwork, and the leaders are always the few who don't value the lives of their teammates on the attack.

Experienced hunters have an unpleasant habit of always using their teammates as a lure to get the chance to destroy their target or get the things they need while others buy more time and lose their lives. After that, the individuals who get the things will leave without saving their teammates to survive.

Jin Chow has seen all of this and still survived because of his extraordinary abilities. Hunters despised him because he let the people within the territories of the empire know everything that happened in the raids despite coming back alone several times. After all, he was always left alone and used as a bait.

The Monarchy is still busy battling for its territories to have knights as the protection and defense of its people from each other. That's why crime has become a trend within the Monarchy, often robbery.

His elder brother became a long-term hunter when he had no choice but to earn a large amount of money after the enrolment scheme failed, but he ended up dying in one of the raids.

Jin Chow understood why his brother persisted in becoming a hunter even though he understood what would lead to the hunts, and their parents were dying. If they can't become a Knight and get the luxury of having the Monarchy's sanitarium for their parents, they need a lot of money to pay for their parents' needs in ordinary hospitals.

Luckily, Jin Chow finished the enrolment program and sent his parents to the monarchy's sanitarium. That's why he can't die, it's going to ship his parents out of the Monarchy's custody, and nobody's going to take care of them after his elder brother's demise.

His brother always told him, "You need to brace yourself for circumstances where you can no longer use your blessing. You can't afford to depend on that during a raid." Jin Chow took that advice to his core and always planned something before a task that could be used to escape or anything else.

When Jin Chow recalled that his terror had gone out, he was drenched with his blood and suffered a great deal of pain as a result of the mindless monster perpetrated on him by its relentless strikes.

"Hahahaha! Give me your flesh! Flesh, flesh, flesh, flesh!" The mindless creature said while moving around him and attacking from different directions. But Jin Chow always moved accordingly to block the attacks, not lowering his guard.

His opponent became quite cocky after he had seen him not fight back, trembling with fear. After being too frail, the monster plans to bite Jin Chow and chew him alive.

Jin Chow raised his arms and tried as much as possible to stop any vital injury and stayed there. The beast pounced in and threatened to bite him. Jin Chow picked up his insecticide inside his pocket and made the insect bite the bottle. Its fangs clenched in the container, and all the contents inside erupted on its face.

"KYAAAAAH!" The creature flinched and stepped backward and eventually rolled over the ground holding its face.

But the parasite inside is already about human size. It's not enough to kill it, given that it's not as small as common insects. Even an average person will, though, flinch after experiencing that.

"Keh. I'm spraying this all over the place before I sleep to avoid ordinary bugs. Didn't know that it would become useful in a fight." Jin Chow smiled, then charged forward.

"Die, die, die, die, die, die you pest!" Jin Chow repeatedly said while he stomped and crushed the creature using his foot until it died.

Jin Chow might be just a human being, but he is still strong and trained as a Knight. He sat down and leaned his back on a tree.

"I made it alive. Don't you dare die on me." He whispered before closing his eyes.
