A new face

𝗟𝘂𝗰𝗶𝗹𝗲'𝘀 𝗽𝗼𝘃

I'm finally let out of the hospital, and my mom is taking me home, I go upstairs and change for bed.

I keep trying to go to sleep but I can't, it's only 10 after all. I get up and get a snack when fifteen minutes later I start to hear knocking on the door then my mom coming downstairs yelling "I'm coming!" I hide and try to see who's at the door.

I see a tall dark figure in the shape of a man "come in, thank you for coming " is the first words she says to the unknown figure. The figure started walking to our living room and they sit down on the couch. "Thank you for giving me this opportunity miss it means a lot" says the unknown figure, they sound like a man but I'm not sure. My mom started replying "well she needs a bodyguard, she's showing the signs and she's just 17"

"Yes I understand your concern, we should only start showing signs at 18 but she is close are you sure she needs a bodyguard?"

"I am more then sure, she just turned 17 a month ago!" My mother yells

"Okay, can you show me the way to the restroom please?" The unknown person asks

"Of course"

I turn around and try to find a better place to hide but right when I turn around I feel arms around me. I gasp but one of the hands covered my mouth.

"What are you doing out here this late miss?"

It's the same voice that I heard talking to my mother... I mumble a bit so the unknown person can uncover my mouth. "Who are you and how did you know I was here?" I asked

"I'm your bodyguard and as your bodyguard don't you think I should be able to hear if someone is sneaking up behind you?" He let go of me and told me that I should go back to my room before I get caught by my mother. He walks back to my mother and I go upstairs to my room and I fall asleep.
