Chapter 8

Seventeen years old Jimin was crying his heart out as he was locked in the basement. Every painful memory of getting abused by Dong Hyun was wandering in his mind. Namjoon and Seokjin were living in the hostel as their university was far away from the Kim mansion while Taehyung and Chaerin were in school. Nobody was there who could help Jimin and it was a perfect chance for Mr. And Mrs. Kim to punish him but what was his fault and why he was getting punished like this Jimin wasn't able to figure out.

"Mom, Dad why you leave me alone why?" Jimin yelled his lungs outburst out in tears he cried and cried until he got tired until his eyes get swelled and his body get exhausted, Lying on the floor Jimin was waiting for someone to come and take him out. His wait finally became over when Mrs . Kim came down in the basement.

"I'm sorry Jimin I can't help you I'm so sorry on behalf of him," Mrs. Kim apologized, But her apology couldn't heal his wounded soul.

"Why you're doing this to me?" Jimin asked in a timid voice.

"You were going to tell everything to Namjoon, Aren't you," Mrs. Kim said caressing her hand on his hair. "But now you have learned your lesson you won't repeat your mistake," She said and how cold she was, Torturing a seventeen years old kid after being a mother, without any hesitation was nothing but a cruel act of crushing humanity just for her greed.

"You all are monsters but remember one day you will pay for your mistakes, Mr. Kim Dong Hyun you will get your punishment," Jimin said continued to cry.

"Taehyung and Chaerin will be back soon so get up and pretend as nothing happen if you don't wanna come back here again," Mrs. Kim said then she left.

Jimin came back into his room he ran to the restroom and started to throw up. He stopped after with a long gasp struggled to breathe his lungs had no strength. He looked at him in the mirror, His life was nothing but a mess he wanted to get rid of. "Mom Dad, You can't come back for me, but I can come to you for sleeping a peaceful sleep," Jimin said.

Jimin was pulled out from the memories when Chaerin stopped her car in the corner of the road. She looked at him the pain was the only thing she could find in his eyes. Jimin never tried to complain about anything for years he just tolerate all the suffering alone. Chaerin was ashamed of herself as she never tried to see the torture her parents were doing with him. But the regrets weren't going to change anything.

"Why didn't you tell us Jimin? Why didn't you ask for help,?" Asked Chaerin her eyes were gazing at the steering wheel, She had no courage to look in his eyes.

"Could you trust me?" Jimin asked then there was a deep silence in the car, Chaerin hadn't any answer or perhaps she didn't want to give him any reply.

"That's why your nightmares weren't disappeared because mom's dad would lock you in the basement," She finally chose to break the silence again.

Jimin nodded his eyes were still shedding tears, His heart was aching and it seemed as someone has freed him from the cage he was stuck for years. The secret he was keeping from everyone was now revealed in front of Chaerin and it had satisfied him.  "I later found out the reason why they were doing this to me why they sent me to the mental asylum," After a few seconds of pause Jimin finally started to speak.

"Your company was in Loss so Mr. Kim wanted to take over my company. But he was afraid that I might ask for shares so they decided to ruin me, They locked me in the basement so that I could lose my mind and their plan became successful one day I gave up and decided to take my life but then Taehyung saved me, then they sent me to the mental hospital with the hope that this time they will be able to get rid of me but I met Hobi hyung he did his best to bring me back towards the life. When I returned home your father asked me to entrust my company to him so I did," Jimin told her everything in just one breath.

"Jimin I know my apology couldn't change anything but I'm so sorry for whatever they did to you," Chaerin said, crying.

"You don't need to apologize it's not your fault," Jimin replied.

"No, Me, Taehyung, Jin Oppa Namjoon Oppa we all are equally responsible for whatever happened with you we only claimed to be your friends but we never tried to find out what was happening with you we just blindly believe what they both told us," Chaerin said.

"Every kid trust thier parents nobody can think in such a way so don't resent yourself and promise me you won't tell anything to them," Jimin said gazing at her face. "They won't be able to tolerate and who knows what Taehyung will do after knowing all the truth he's already not on good terms with his parents so I don't want to bother him anymore," Jimin resumed.

"Okay I won't tell anyone but I promise you I will take back your company," Chaerin said.

"I don't want anything I just want to live my life peacefully," Jimin said taking out the small bottle from his pocket he gulped down two pills from his throat then he drank some water.

"What are these pills for?" Chaerin asked worriedly.

"It's anti-sleep pills, I don't wanna sleep until I solve the problem," Jimin replied.

"Jimin I still don't understand why she want to hurt you?  how it's even possible, how can she hurt you in your dreams," Chaerin said. Getting pissed off.

"Maybe she seriously requires my help for something, She made me injured so that she could prove my nightmares aren't just mere dreams" Jimin assumed.

"I wonder how she died?" Chaerin murmured.

"I want to know as well, Anyway let's go home,"  Jimin said.

"Okay let's go," Chaerin said started the car. They both headed to the apartment as Chaerin wasn't in a mood to see her parents again, She was burning with anger but trying to hold it back. She was aware that revealing the real faces of her parents would only ruin the relations and Jimin was right Taehyung was unpredictable when it came to the anger she was afraid that he might do anything which he shouldn't do, Thus she decided to keep quiet for a while.

Namjoon observed something wasn't right with them as soon as Chaerin and Jimin arrived at home, Her eyes were red and  Jimin was looking a complete mess, His eyes were swelled he seemed exhausted, It was Visible that they both were crying, Seokjin was looking worried as well. "Are you guys alright?" Namjoon asked worriedly.

"Nothing happened Hyung, Chaerin wanted to spend some time with us so she came here," Jimin replied went to his room to avoid further questions from Namjoon.

"Chaerin something must be happened, Did Jungkook say anything to him," Namjoon shifted his attention on her and asked, Seokjin was hoping to know something as well.

"No, Oppa why he would say anything to him," Chaerin said, chuckled lightly she tugged the strand of her hair behind her ears, "He had a nightmare again that's the only weird thing that happened today," She replied trying to put a fake smile on her face.

"Are you sure?" Seokjin asked as he was uncertain about the answer he had gotten from Chaerin Namjoon didn't seem satisfied as well.

"Yes, of course, Anyway I'm so tired so I'm going to get sleep, tell me where I can sleep," Chaerin asked.

"Oh, You can sleep in Taehyung's room he's not at home tonight so you can use his room," Seokjin said.

"Okay good night guys," Chaerin greeted them and headed to Taehyung's room. Namjoon and Seokjin greeted her back.

"Do something happen at home why they are lying?" Seokjin wondered.

"I'll talk with dad in the morning," Namjoon said.

It was midnight and Jimin was sitting on his bed watching some series on his laptop as he wasn't able to sleep because of the pills while Namjoon, Seokjin, and Chaerin were fallen asleep. Suddenly someone knocked on the door, "Come in whoever it is?" Jimin said but got another knock.

Jimin now got up as the knock was constantly raising, "Ya, Jin hyung stop joking at this time I'm already scared as fuck," Jimin said while opening the door but nobody was there except the pitch-black darkness in the living room.

"Jin, Hyung Nam–Namjoon hyung, Chaerin" He called everyone but none of them replied.

He stepped out of his room but because of the darkness Jimin wasn't able to see anything but he felt something different as his bare feet could feel the rocky ground, With his pounding heart he was still trying to figure out the situation when his feet slip and he fell on the stairs rolling down he came to the depth of the ground, His eyes wandered his surroundings and he realized that once again he had come back in that basement but he couldn't understand how he fell asleep when he had taken anti-sleep pills.
