Past

Zoya went out with her best friend for a birthday party of one of their classmate . After the party, they went to Ruby's (her best friend) home because it was getting late and she can't go home now because it will take long time to reach.

When they reached Ruby's house, it was already past 12. After having shower they started to talk about all the things.

Then suddenly Zoya's phone rang, it was an unknown number and without much thought she answered it. After the phone call her expression changed.

After seeing her expression Ruby asked, "What happened?"

Zoya was silent for a moment and said, "Nothing serious. Just some thing related to the past so don't worry". She never thought that her face will betray her.

After thinking for a minute, Ruby said " If you're having any problem with anything, you know that you can share it with me. I'm always there to hear and try to help you out".

When she heard what Ruby said she felt a sense of guilt. From past 2 years she always tried to tell everything to Ruby but she was hesitant and never told her.

In Last 2 years, she had gone through so many things but she never thought of asking other's for help. Zoya is an independent woman. She always handled everything by herself without burdening her family or friends.

She was from an rich family. She always lived in Luxury and same goes to Ruby. They were equal in status. Their parents were friends, and the ladies got together well.

They always shared everything with eachother.

Two years back Zoya went to abroad to pursue Management. She came back to her country in last week.

From last week, Ruby always felt that something was wrong with Zoya and she tried asking her so many times. But everytime Zoya will brush off the question.

And today, after the phone call, her face turned pale andost colour.

After thinking for a while, Zoya said "I.... I have loved someone in the abroad". After saying this she tightened her lips into a thin line.

After hearing this, Ruby was shocked. She tried to ask, "What? What did you just say?"

Zoya repeated what she said earlier and this time Ruby confirmed that she's not hearing things.

Ruby asked, "What actually happened? You never told me anything about this in past two years. We were always talked to each other".

Zoya lowered her head and started telling her about the person she loved.

" He was also a student of our university and he's senior to me by an year. He was tall and handsome with good features. He was a good student too. When I joined the university, I was monitored by him in my studies, which was actually the University's decision".

Suddenly Ruby asked curiously, "What is his name?"

Zoya said, " Oh, I forgot to mention his name. His name is Ayan Khan. He was from a good family. After I started my project in management, we got together well. We always hangout together. We talked about everything, about our families, friends and everything. He was in his last year and much more knowledgeable than me. So I always tried to get his help and he helped me many times too. We were getting along well.

We shared everything with eachother. He was very considerate about me. Slowly, I started developing feelings for him. And this continued to the end of the year. On the Farewell party, he bought me a gift and said not to open it then. He said that I should open it when nobody was with me. And after the party, I went to the dormetery.

Because I don't like to share my room with anyone. So after so much request and extra payment, I got myself into a room where I can live here without anyone.

When I went to my room, the first thing I remembered was the gift he had give me. And I started unwrapping it. Them she was surprised. The box contain a diamond necklace, Ear rings, Bracelet, Ring".
