Alicia

John and Mrs Smith reached home at almost the same time. John was worried as he received the call from the bodyguard of his grandmother. He informed John that Mrs Smith was not feeling well. He cancelled all the meetings for the day and rushed home.

Mrs Smith was sitting in the garden when John reached home. Ronnie ran away immediately after got down from the car, to show his 'Woofy' to his mother, who was sleeping on her bed. She relieved from her body pain a bit. So, she decided to take a rest. Ronnie hurriedly entered her room and show her puppy to her. It was a very cute puppy. Zinu too loved puppy. She sprang out from her bed to hold it. They both played with it for a long time. Zinu ordered a maid to feed the puppy and they go to the rooftop to make a house for it. On the rooftop, there was an aviary, where Zinu made a place for their 'Woofy'.

On the other hand, John reached the garden, where his grandmother was sitting. He kept his hands on her shoulder and worriedly asked, "Grandma, Are you fine? What happened to you. Why have you called me?"

"Come, dear! Sit here! " He felt distance in her sound. She must be distressed for some reason. She took his hands and pulled him to the bench, where she was sitting. John sat there and kept his head on her lap. He was worried about her. She was a heart patient. So, he had to worry about her every time. She felt chest pain if she feels distressed. His grandmother ran her fingers through his hair.

"John, today I saw your mother! " She said with tears in her eyes. John stunned. What is she saying? Is she hallucinating his mother? His mother died when he was only two years. He couldn't even remember her face too. John's grandmother removed all the photos of his parents and kept somewhere because One day John was yelling loudly. As Mrs Smith rushed to him and found that, he was crying by holding the photograph of his parents. After that incident, Mrs Smith hides all the photographs.

She died in a car accident along with her husband. Though her dead body was not rescued, as per experts, it is impossible to come alive after drowning in a river like that, as it had a strong current. She declared dead near about twenty-four years ago. After so many years, his grandmother was saying that she had seen her. He didn't know how he is feeling now. Sad, happy, angry or what?

"Haven't you believe me? I am saying the truth. I went to a pet shop to buy a puppy for Ronnie, I saw her crossing the road. I saw her clearly. She too saw me but didn't stop to meet me. She entered the By-lane and I couldn't follow her. "

John sat there silently.' Is she really his mom? But she was dead. How can she be alive? If she is alive, then why she never came to meet us? A mother, who left a little child behind, could it be possible that she wouldn't want to meet her child? No, she is not my mother. She couldn't be.'

"John! I am sorry my dear. I am so incompetent grandmother of you. I never could give your full family. I couldn't save your parents. That time also I couldn't save your mother and now too I couldn't bring her to you. When I saw her, I felt so hurt. I couldn't explain how I felt." Mrs Smith said wiping her tears.

"Grandma, please don't cry. It's not your fault that my parents are dead. I forgot them now. For me, you are the most important person in my life. You always love me in their place. You always tried to protect me from any type of bad happenings. Please don't try to blame yourself for other's deed. And about the lady, she couldn't be my mom. If she is her, then she would never go away without meeting with you. She would have come here."John holds her hand and said, "Grandma, if she is alive, I'll definitely find her. You don't worry. "

Mrs Smith nodded her head and entered the house. She again felt broken. All her pains seem to return to her. She couldn't believe that, even after seeing her, how could her daughter in law left without responding. But she was sure that it was Alicia.

Alicia Smith was the wife of Victor Smith, John's mother. She was from a very poor family. She was a club singer. Victor often visited the club and fell in love with the singer. One day he proposed her, which she denied. But, Victor's didn't want to hear her, so he forcefully brought her to his mother and introduced both. He didn't want to let her go. So, he tried to convince her with the help of his mother. At last, she agreed and he immediately took her to marriage Bureau office and got married.

They both lived happily after their marriage. She left her job and became a perfect housewife. Mrs Smith was happy to get Alicia as her daughter in law. Alicia took hold the whole family. After the birth of John, Mrs Smith left all her responsibilities to Alicia. Alicia also was very happy to get a family, where Mrs Smith was like her own mother. She was an orphan. So, a family was meant everything for her. But, that accursed day, destroyed everything. A family has broken down.
