And so it begins...
Raindrops... yeah raindrops... It is making me sleepy again... Its 7:30 am and my first job interview is at 9:00 am geeeez!!! Looking at the window and thinking of possible questions they might throw at me later.
Its 8:15 and I am dressed up with navy blue shirt and khaki pants as I walked towards the kitchen and my mom is in her usual baking situation she greets me with full of sunshine "Good morning Indigo!" Giving her a kiss on the cheek "Good morning Mom, I am running late for my job interview I got to get going" "Indigo bring some sandwhich on the way!" Mom handing a white paper bag, Thanks Mom!
So I arrived in this tall glass building with modern furnishings around 8:45 am my heart is beating fast as I approched the reception area, Ok ok Indigo you got this! A lady in a black dress, burgundy curly hair smiled at me and said " Hi how can I help?" Then I replied with a smile, I am scheduled for an interview with Sotus communication, she gave me a paper to log in and said can I have an Id? Sure! Then she handed me a visitors pass, so that will be on the 5th floor kindly use the elevator on your left, Goodluck!, Alright Thanks!
The elevator opens on the 5th floor, I saw people running, some busy in their stations, some chatting, whew! These peeps are well dressed! I think I am a little under dressed. A chubby girl probably in her late 20's approached me and said "Are you scheduled for todays interview?" Yes I am, she replied O thank God! I was a little nervous that you won't show up, come lets go to my booth and hand me your resume, then while walking she looked at me and said my name is Shereena and I am with recruitment team, Hi Shereena! giving her a smile but my heart is pounding fast, faster than a horse.
As we arrived in the recruitment booth she handed me a paper to write my basic information and she requested to attached a copy of cv, it took me 5 minutes to fillout then I gave it back to her, "Ok wait for your name to be called and enter the room on your right", I nodded and smiled...While waiting theres a tv and its playing Jumanji which happens to be one of my childhoods favorite by the way, Thank goodness for this it will help me relax... 15 minutes after she called my name and as instructed I went to the room on my right.
As soon as I entered a guy in dark green shirt with blue necktie greeted me, Good morning! You must be Indigo Santos? I smiled, Good morning you can call me Indigo, alright Indigo take a seat, the room smells so good! It's like the scent of cinnamon and wood, the chairs are made of wood the atmosphere is calm and chill, I am Nathan by the way and I will be conducting your initial interview...
45 minutes after Nathan instructed me to sit in the reception and wait for my name to be called for final interview, I keep telling myself "good job Indigo! good job!" While waiting my phone rang and its my bestfriend "Angela what's up?!" "Hey Indigo are you free tonight? How's your interview going?" "All good still waiting for my final interview" "Let's meet at the coffee shop around 7ish?" Sure! See you! Then Shereena approached me and said "Hey Indigo please get ready in 10" "Ok thanks Shereena", As per Nathan I will be interviewed by the owner and damn it makes me feel more nervous, according to him his name is Pancho Solais he is the owner and founder of Sotus Communications. Ok ok I should check him on social media to give me an idea on his looks and background like his hobbies and favorites, this might give me an edge if he sees that we kinda have the same interests. Oh noh! There's two Pancho Solais I am seeing in FaceFriends! One is a kid and the other one is a grandpa!!! Geeeez!!!
Moments later my name was called, "Indigo can you go the main hallway and on your left beside the conference room is the CEO's office, please don't knock just enter the room and introduce yourself" "Oh! Sure thanks".
Ok ok.. I am infront of the Ceo's door, take a deep breath, smile and think of happy thoughts, and so I entered the room and said "Hi I'm Indigo,I was endorsed for final interview" "Please sit down" he said. He was looking for a file under his desk as he speaks, so I sat down and was amaze on the view of his room, damn! What an office, it's full glass windows making you see the entire city his chair are oh so comfy and so soft! The smell! oh the smell of the room! Smells like a Bvulgari cologne, very handsome room I must say, manly in a way.
He sat down and faced me and its like my entire universe STOPPED!!!!! Wtf?!!!!!!! Im speechless, my eyes are locked!!!!!! He has the most handsome face I encountered in my entire life!!! He looks like a man from a Calvin Klein ad. He looks tall maybe around 6ft, his eyes is almond shaped and dark brownish colored, the tip of his nose is perfect his eyebrows are bushy, he has nice jaw line and his skin is colored caramel... How can somebody be as perfect as this?! How??!!! Tell me!!!!!
He smile and greeted me " sorry for that I was looking for a file, my name is Pancho " he gave me a handshake, damn! His hand is soft and warm, perfect for holding hands. "Indigo" I said, "Hi Indigo " while he was looking at my resume he was playing the pencil in his hands twisting it, "Tell me something about yourself, something that is not on your resume" Ohhhh he wants to know something personal first huh?! Shall I tell him im gay and I want to kiss his pinkish lips right now?! Gosh! My imagination explodes again!!! No no concentrate please!!! I smiled and looked him in the eye and answered " Sure, my name is Indigo but you can call me Igo, I am an introvert type of person, I love music and scented candles, I love reading books,eating ice cream and I am raised by the most hard working, loving single mom in the world" "Interesting" he said. So let's walkthrough about your education.....
Took us an hour and a half for the final interview, and he told me to wait for a call regarding the result. Oh my gosh! Did I make it or not?! Hate this feeling but I was able to speak to a real prince charming!!!! What a bonus!!! "Thanks Pancho" "Nice to meet you Igo!" Shit! He called me using my nickname!!! I smiled and exit the room.
I am sitting in my favorite spot in this coffee shop, its a small but cozy place the aroma of the coffee is everywhere, the staff are friendly and the crowd is very laidback, "Indigo! Sorry im late!" "Its ok Angela" she has been my bestfriend since first year college I met her in Algebra class, " so what's up?!, how are you?" "Mmmmm just fine, I saw my ex the other day" she said. Her ex was a dropped dead gorgeous singer.. "Uhm, so did you approached him or said Hi? " "Duh! he was with someone, we just met eye to eye" but I can tell in her eyes that she is still hurting, it has been a year but I know it still hurts, "so how was your interview?" Should I tell her that I met this model perfect everything guy boss? Maybe not now, if I get hired, "hmmm it was great! I was able to answer questions needed, they will just call me for the result which I don't know when".
In my room and I went straight to bed looking at the ceiling and imagining Pancho, I can still see his expressive eyes when he smiles, his soft hand and lean body whew! He might be a perfect candidate to be my next boyfriend hahaha. I wish! I wonder if he is married? nor straight or gay? Damn he does not have any social media account I cannot validate anything grrrrrr... Ok ok enough! enough of him! Played music, lighted my favorite green tea scented candles and went straight to shower, After shower I received a notification message from Ex! who just left me without saying anything! Was just staring at his message and deleted it, ignoring it like he is my worst enemy, Wtf is he doing? I mean its been 8 months and I have moved on, I don't need him, I realized I am happier without that selfish bastard!
