The mayor's son have been after her and now she has a prince at her feet. Why does she have all the important men following her around?

Carlos paid no mind to the eyes that followed him as he left. He knew Elaine won't go back home neither did she leave in the direction of the library. He remembered Carol's words of her love to go to the lake when sad and so, he went directly to the lake.

When he got there, he saw her squatting with her gaze locked on the lake, he need no one to tell him that she wasn't really looking at the lake. He gently approached her so as not to startle her.
