16: THE COMMOTION

"Wake up, Daddy! Mmmuaah!"

"Mmmuaah!"

"Daddy!"

The little girl kept calling Dirga and patting his cheek with her small hand. Her tiny lips kissed the cheek of the man she affectionately referred to as Daddy. The mother simply chuckled as she sat at the table next to the sofa, which Dirga used as a sleeping place.

Dirga blinked, feeling a wet touch and cheek pats. As he opened his eyes, his lips curled into a perfect curve as he watched the little angel laugh playfully, baring her milk teeth.

"Good morning, my dear, little sunshine!" Dirga said hoarsely while kissing the top of Cantika's head.

Dirga sat down and lifted Cantika into his lap. His free hand reached out to touch Andien's face, gently stroked her head, and tucked a strand of hair behind her ear.

"Hey sexy!" he teased, blinking one of his eyes.

"Oh my, it's early in the morning and you're already coquettish! It's embarrassing!" Andien mumbled.
