Chapter 126 Missed you

Janice was in her room getting ready when Christian walks in and flops down on her bed. "Hey, girlfriend." He calls to her in her closet. "Christian!" She squeals running out and jumping on him on her bed. "You're home, I missed you." She said hugging him. "I miss you too short stuff." "Hey, I'm not short, I'm fun size." She said with a smile. "And you're one to talk, you're an inch taller than me." She laughs.

"Yeah, sure, whatever you say, now get off me before others get the wrong idea." He said laughing. "Now I'll be your driver for the next four days then I'll be off to Europe and these are for you and the kids. Now go say goodbye to your kids and get your tush in the car." He said putting a big gift bag on her bed and sniffing one of her perfumes.

They were on their way when her phone rang and she answers it and when he heard that it was Samson on the phone he leans closer to hear what he was saying. Even though she keeps slapping him and pushing him away he keeps leaning closer.

No sooner had she ended the call that he begins drilling her for answers. "What did that blue eye hunk of a Greek God wants so early in the morning?" He asks eagerly. "Wow, must I keep reminding you that you have a boyfriend?" She asks in a stern tone. "And must I keep reminding you that doesn't mean I'm blind, now tell me, what did he want?" he asks again.

"Ugh, fine, he was just returning my call. I left a message on his phone inviting him and his kids to Faith's birthday party this Saturday evening." She said. "And, will he be there?" He asks. "Yes, he will." "Okay then in that case I'll be leaving in five days instead of four." He laughs as she stares at him. "What?" He asks in an innocent tone. "Faith is my goddaughter I also have to be at her party." He laughs. "Mmhmm." She hmms shaking her head at him.

Jered had just steps from the shower when he heard the doorbell ring. He walks over to it and opens it while still drying his hair. "What in the world? What are you doing in Christian's apartment in your boxers man?" Caleb asks with his arms folded across his muscled chest.

"Beats paying rent don't you think?" Jered laughs. "Please come in, Christian went to drive Janice to class he'll be right back if you want to wait." He said opening the door wider so Caleb could come in.

"You two are seriously joined at the hips aren't you?" He snorts. "Well we're best friends so…" "So does that mean that the both of you have to be together all the time?" Caleb asks annoyed. "Well, not all the time but most of the time seeing as though we also work together." He said walking into his room and dragging a T-shirt and pants from his suitcase. Lucky thing Christian insists that he keeps his things in the guest room. What would this guy think if he had walked into Christian's room for his clothes?

He turns around and saw Caleb standing behind him. "So what exactly do you do with Christian?" Caleb asks. What don't I do with Christian? Jered thought biting his lips. "What do you mean?" He asks pulling the T-shirt over his head. "Well he's the Architect, so what are you?"

"Oh well I'm also an Architect and as they say two heads are better than one, especially with these million-dollar projects he keeps working on," Jered said walking into the kitchen. "How did you two start working together?" Caleb asks.

"Well, I was working on a project for a very high-class client. I was having a hard time with it, it just wasn't coming together as I wanted it to, and instead of firing me they decided to bring in someone for me to work with, they brought in Christian and right away we clicked. He was a great help to me, together we got it done and the client loved it and ever since then we decided to work together and over the years our work has only gotten better and better." Jered said pouring a cup of coffee for himself and indicating to the other cup, his way of asking if Caleb wanted one. Caleb nods and he pours one for him too.
