Your walk through a dark alleyway and bump into a young homeless boy. As you exit the end of the alley you feel that your wallet is gone. The boy must have been a pickpocket. You scour the alley for the boy, but he's long gone. It's alright though, since all you had in the wallet was your power stones, so it's not a huge loss. Enjoy the chapter!)

After everyone filed out of the inn, I looked over at Lily.

"My men will help with the transport of your people." I say.

"Thank you, Your Highness." She bows to me.

"Your welcome." I draw my attention back to the people who stayed. "Since you're still here, that means you accept my offer, correct?" I ask and they all nod.

"Yeah, but if at some point I find you unworthy of my service I'll be leaving." The elven woman says.

"Same here. I'll be looked down on by other dwarves for serving a human, so you better meet my expectations, kid." The dwarf agrees with her. The eight women just look at them like they're crazy, for talking to me like that.

"Well, I'm sure I'll exceed your expectations." I confidently say. "Let's start with introductions, shall we?"

"My lovely self is named Anna Yelyra. I'm a rank 78 nature mage, and I was born in Sellin the capital of the Elvin kingdom. I left the Great Jura Forest to see the world. My loved ones were against it, but I'm an adventurous person. Once I left the forest, I spent my first night at a human inn. They must have put something in my food because I don't remember exactly what happened. I remember eating and then waking up chained and extremely tired, so I just kept going back to sleep. Then I woke up in this inn, and everyone explained what happened." She says. A nature mage is pretty rare outside of the Great Jura Forest.

"You don't want to travel the world anymore?" I ask.

"No, The goddess Hanali put me on this path for a reason, and I feel that if I stick with you I'll see the world sooner or later." She says.

"Well, Your goddess made the right choice." I say confidently and I take a sip of my tea. "You're next dwarf guy." I point to him.

"I'm Dalir Hillmane. I was born in Garom, a small town on the Badur mountain range. You already heard what they said about me at the auction I'm sure. I was traveling through the Eos Empire and those crazy buggers napped me. The funny thing is they didn't even have to hide it, as those crazy light lovers in Eos didn't even try and stop them. Not the guards or the army or the citizens. That country is mad I tell yah. I ain't going anywhere near it ever again. Then they took me to that damn auction and you know the rest." He says.

"Well, it's an honor to have you under my employ, Dalir." I sincerely say. Dwarves don't work for any other race, period. The fact that he's willing to be under my employ is truly amazing.

"Yeah, you better be worth the loss in my reputation, Your Highness." He tries to be formal and it just comes out weird. It sounded better when he was calling me 'kid'. I won't voice that though, as being called 'kid' when your mindset is that of a grown man is annoying.

"Once again, I'll do my best to exceed your expectations." I say.

"You better." He mutters and goes back to his table where a mug of ale awaits him. The eight women were next, and they are all maid material. All of them are Demi-humans, and cute ones at that. Cats, dogs, and foxes. I gave them to Rem for training, and that ends the meeting with the former slaves.

"Alright, I have to go and deal with something that is more private, so I'll be leaving you all here. That includes you two as well." I point to Leo and Lily. "You can all stay in this inn until I've figured out your housing situations. Rem you stay behind as well." She looks at me questioningly. "You have to train my maids after all. How will you do that if you're not with them?" I explain. I make my way out of the inn alone and enter my carriage. I order my men to take me to the spoils from last night. They drive me to a warehouse by the docks and hand me a packet of paper detailing everything that I now have in my possession.

Inside the warehouse, all of the spoils are categorized in alphabetical order. They must have spent all night getting this put together. Everything is labeled perfectly and very organized. I go to where the binding swords are and take a look at them.

"Souei, you can take your swords now." I say and Souei leaves my shadow. He walks to the twin swords and grasps them in his hand. They glow in an odd black light and slowly become darker and darker. What was once bright and shiny steal turned into pitch-black metal. The black light of the swords dies down, and Souei gives them each a swing. A small smile graces his lips as he tested the new swords. I think that's the first time I've seen him smile.

"I'm glad you like your new swords, Souei." I said.

"They feel like they were made especially for me." He says as he twirls them in his palms. He then goes to sheath them on his back and they disappear completely.

"Huh? Where did they go?" I ask.

"I don't know." Souei says.

"Try thinking of unsheathing them." I say and the swords appear on his back. "That's will come in handy, I guess." I wonder if they only do that because of Souei's shadow attribute?

"Thank you for this gift, Master." He says and bows to me. Souei then returns to my shadow with his new swords.

I move around the warehouse and bask in my newfound wealth. I ask my men where the gold crowns that are listed on the packet are located, and they take me to a separate warehouse that has a mountain of gold in it. I feel like I'm visiting a rich family's vault in Harry Potter. Maybe I should learn some type of magic that lets me swim in gold like Scrooge McDuck.

After sorting through all of my new belongings, I had my guards take me to the prison. The prison itself is at the edge of the city, and far away from any prying eyes. The building looks like a grey box made of the same material as stone castles. No fancy architecture was used when building this prison. In order to get into the prison, you have to go through a big metal gate. After entering the gate, I'm met with the guards of the prison. They seem to be the unsavory type of guard that would torture their prisoners.

I'll have Souei look into them just to be sure, as every able body in this prison can be used in some way to better the city. Whether that's making roads, building houses, and any type of manual labor. These people are perfect for that type of work, and mistreating them would lessen the amount of work they can get done. I have to pay for their stay here somehow after all. Now, it's time to go through the list of prisoners and see which ones can be of use to me.
