*If someone can tell me what the title is from, they win absolutely nothing, but they still win though. I guess ~shrugs~. If no one can guess it, I'll give a hint in the next chapter.*

*Also for those that think Syrin is being passive because he let some random women die, he's not. He let her die to prove if there are gods out there or not. Memories can be altered and things can be faked. With real proof of a god being shown in the same room as a Souei clone, Syrin has actual fully credible 100% evidence. Also, who knows if that god was watching already, so if souei made a move it could have caused huge problems. Syrin played it safe and found out what he wants. It's sad she died but it was for the greater good. Lol I'm now the dumbledore of authors.*

POV Syrin

When I heard that they were going to kill Armads mother, I wanted to give Souei the order to stop them, but I knew that I shouldn't. The possibility that gods exist need to be tested. Also, I don't know if R'hllor is watching and I don't want to be on his or her bad side. At least not yet anyway. Not until I'm sure that the gods can be taken care of. If they can't be, then I'll have to find a god worth supporting for protection. I'm sorry Misses Armads mom, or whatever your name is. Your sacrifice won't be in vain.

After the sacrifice, Souei told me exactly what happened. Once the scarred assassin left Armads home, I brought out the pensieve to see what happened with my own eyes. The pensieve has the appearance of a shallow stone basin, into which runes and strange symbols are carved and precious stones are fitted. It is filled with a silvery substance that appears to be a cloudy liquid/gas.

"Souei, come here." I say and he walks to stand in front of me. "Bring the memory of what happened at Armads residence to the front of your mind. Makes sure it's from start to finish, please." I take out my wand and wait for Souei to let me know when he's ready.

"Alright, I'm thinking of the memory right now." He says and I place the tip of my wand on his forehead.

One of the books I've read explained how to extract memories from willing participants. It said to touch the wand to someone's head, and will the memory's to stick to the tip of the wand itself. Info as the book said and hope that I don't mess up Souei's memories. I really should have tested this beforehand. Whatever, it'll be fine.

Once I pull back my hand, I could see a glowing blue substance stuck to the tip of it. I could store the memory in a vial if I wanted to view it later, but I'm watching it now so there's no point. Walking over to the pensieve, I place the memory into the cloudy liquid. The pensieve seems to suck the memory off the wand. The cloudy liquid slightly tints blue as the runes and stones on the pensieve shine for just a moment.

"I'm going to watch what happened now. Does anyone want to do it with me?" I ask and Rem steps up to the pensieve as well.

Goose looks uninterested as she lounges on the sofa. Nova is keeping her distance from the alien cat and eyeing her for any possible threats. Lastly, Souei has already seen it as it was his memory in the first place.

Taking a deep breath, I push my head under the cloudy liquid. Rem follows shortly after me. We appeared in a world of grey in what I assume to be Armads bedroom. Armad was laying peacefully on his bed, as the window opened and in comes the scarred assassin. Walking around the room, both of us couldn't interact with anything. Neither could we be seen or heard by anyone around us.

We saw the religious assassin messing with Armads mind, and Armad eating up everything this guy said as if it was common sense. Then we saw Armads poor mother being dragged into the room. It was hard to watch her neck being sliced. Especially when she started choking on her own blood. I felt a little regret for not helping her, but there's nothing I can do now. I can't save every single person out there, so I'll focus on my friends and loved ones first. If I see someone that needs help later on, sure I'll help but I'm not going to make it my job to save every poor soul in this world. I think that's a healthy outlook on it.

After the life fully drained from Armads mother's eyes, we saw something truly interesting. What I believe to be Armads mother's soul leaked from her body and floated upwards. Her soul was like a white gaseous light moving up towards the ceiling. Before her soul could go far from her body, a circular portal opened near the ceiling. When the scarred assassin saw the portal open, he immediately kneeled in reverence. The pressure and power that radiated from the portal was truly monstrous. An arm glowing in a golden light exits the portal and snatches the soul out of the air.

The second the arm grasped the soul, It morphed to match Armads mother's appearance and shrieked loudly. As the soul shrieked in pain and anguish, the soul was sucked into the golden arm and disappeared. A satisfied hum could be heard from the other side of the portal. After the soul disappeared, the arm pointed at Armand, and a ray of light shot out of its pointer finger. The light traveled through the air and struck him straight in the chest. Armand has no time to move, and even if he did, the pressure the arm gave off would have kept him still.

When the light hit Armad, he screamed in pain as his body started healing at an alarming pace. After a few moments, the hand stopped firing its finger ray and the light disappeared. The golden arm retreated into the portal, and the portal proceeded to close behind it. With the portal closed, the pressure that once clouded the room disappeared.

Laying on the bed is a fully healed and truly shocked Armad. Newfound power coursing through his gains, as his magic is empowered and his reserves expanded and filled. Before he could fully process what happened, the scarred assassin stood up and addressed him.

"Do you now fully understand his greatness?" He asks with a manic smile hidden behind his black mask.

"Yeah..." Armad speechlessly replies, not know what to say after what he just experienced.
