C103 [CLICK BAIT... I’m TOO LAZY...]

Due to falling asleep so early yesterday, I woke up way too early. It still dark outside and will stay that way for a few more hours. With the time alone that I now have, I'll start testing out my magic and maybe buy some books and other needed materials. Leaving the bed as quietly as possible trying to not wake up Rem, I leave the room and head to the bathes to clean up. After cleaning myself up and getting dressed for the day, I head towards one of the quart yards around the west wing. Browsing the system shop I bought some introductory books on magic. It only cost a few thousand points altogether, so I had no problem buying them.

While browsing the books, I read that Harry Potter magic is internal magic. It resides in a core in the body. Not a physical core. It can't be harvested like the cores of beasts. If it were to be tampered with or I died, the core would disappear as if it were never there. After reading up on the magic core, I tried to do a spell to see if I could use magic yet.

Looking through the books I bought, I see that the easiest spell is the light spell 'Lumos'. Waving my hand and saying the word, I try to perform the spell and nothing happens. Alright, I probably need a wand to get it to work, duh. Kicking myself for forgetting that a wand is needed to do magic, I start browsing the store for a wand that I can use. Wait a minute, doesn't that wand choose the wizard or something? If I buy a wand would it even work for me?

Hmm, that's good. Now that I don't have to worry about buying a wand that doesn't work for me, I use the search bar to find the wands and start scrolling to find one that catches my eye. After searching for a bit, I saw a combination that stuck out to me.

That is the most impressive wand I could find besides the elder wand. After double-checking if any other wands stand out to me, I buy that elder and Nundu heartstring wand.

Calling forth the wand from my inventory, a black wand with brown accents appears in my hand. The second the wand touched my hand, I felt a rush of power as the wand and I both glowed slightly. After taking in the moment and getting used to the new feeling of power that's coursed through me, I tried to do the spell again and called out the name.

"Lumos." I say with a flick of my wrist and the tip of my wand glowed with a dim light. "Interesting, It's dim but I can feel that's only because my magic is in short supply. I'll have to find a way to expand my core and maybe make it denser. Hmm, I'll work on that later."

By the time I had finished with my first real spell, the sun was starting to rise and it was time to eat breakfast. The second I thought about food, my stomachs rumbled in hunger. I made my way to the west wings dining hall and the maids brought me some breakfast. Rem came in the room around the time I started eating and looked at me with a reproachful gaze.

"What's wrong?" I asked as I put my silverware down.

"I woke up and you were gone." She states with dissatisfaction in her voice.

"Oh, sorry but you were sleeping peacefully around the time I woke up and I didn't want to wake you. I also woke up extremely early and thought it would be mean to wake you that early." I say as I get up from my seat and envelope her in a hug.

"*sigh* Fine but don't make a habit out of leaving me alone every morning." She says as she nuzzles into me.

"Yes, Mam. Now, come and eat the food is getting cold and I have to get to school soon." I say and we both eat breakfast together.

After breakfast, I read some mail that Schneizel sends me about how the Duchy is doing. I then said goodbye to Rem and went off to school.

POV Armad Shahal

When I went to the palace to visit my father, I had the distinct pleasure of running into my future wife, Aella Bestia. I tried to invite her on a date once again, but yet again she turns me down. I wish she would stop playing hard to get and recognize my good qualities. I've been trying my best to court her for years now and still haven't gotten any headway. My father said that he would work on talking to the king about getting a contract set up, but every time the subject was brought up, father said that the king would get annoyed and change the subject. When I heard about how the king reacted, I felt truly depressed but persevered. The princess would notice me soon or later! I just had to keep working at her and show what I truly feel.

After trying and failing to get the princess to accompany me, I went to visit my father as I planned to do from the beginning I arrived. I had to wait for so long because father had some meeting with the king. That happens a lot so I just waited as I usually do. When my father arrived, he looked at me like I was made of glass that would break at the slightest word. That's when I found out that the love of my life wouldn't ever be with me. That was the day that I swore I would kill Syrin Fortis, the crowned prince of the Fortis kingdom.
