Moving In

"Time flies when you're having fun." Definitely a quote that I believe in... I can't believe "next week" is already here... and here I am outside my house waiting for Jackson to come and get me as I officially move into the dorm to work as a teacher assistant for the College Bridge Program. I'm super excited, yet nervous all together but the experience I'll be gaining interacting with students will be amazing.

Above all, not to mention how I get to spend some more personal time with the man I love, Jackson..

It's crazy to think how one stupid joke/friend request and teasing led us here to where we are today. I cannot wait for all the fun things this summer.

It's going to be great. I just know it with Jackson around.. I couldn't help but caught a smile appearing on my face.

Lost in thoughts, Jackson's car rolled around the corner. I quickly stopped my thoughts and waves at him as he pulled up by me.

He has the gentlest smile and the softness in his eyes makes me so happy. Jackson got out of his car and approached me. Today, he was wearing a pair of tan shorts, comfy shoes, and a blue sleeveless shirt, exposing his arm. I couldn't help but blush.

Jackson (J): Sorry to keep you waiting, Babe. Did you wait long?

I shook my head no quickly and declined. "Not at all." I said. "I just got here."

Jackson smiled and helped me with some boxes on the ground by my feet and helped me lift my briefcase into the car.

J: Is this all?

Me: yes.

Jackson continued smiling and grabbed my hand softly.

Unsure of what he was going to do, I just smiled as he leaned in for a kiss on my lips.

I blushed and he smiled.

"Let's go." He said.

We got into his car and drove to campus where we unloaded my stuff into my dorm room where only I will be staying.

The dorm room was the best dorm on campus. It's name was Right Hall on Ray's Place.

Our staff dorm room this summer for the college program consisted of a one bedroom apartment with a full bathroom, small living area, a small kitchen area and laundry utilities right in the room. Rent was free because we were working, but the room itself was super nice.

When you entered the room, you're in the hallway. There is a door to the right of you - the bedroom with an open closet, window, a bed and desk (all comes with being here), the door on the left was the bathroom, a toilet, shower space and sink. Right next to this door was the washer and dryer stacked on top of each other. Walking down this hall way about 10 steps away from the bedroom and the bathroom door, you come to an open area - the living room and right behind the living room there is a kitchen area, a stove top, oven, counter, kitchen sink, cabinets etc. There was even a bar area on the counter, where you can sit up to three people to eat. The living room, by far was my favorite place. The windows were huge, letting in so much sunlight which made me happy.

Fixing my gaze around the room, I noticed Jackson looking at me and smiling. I blushed and stopped my thoughts.

J: You like this don't you?

Me: I do.. it's super nice.

Jackson looked around some more then finally said, "You know, you're right. This looks great. Maybe I should move in with you this summer."

I smiled and said, "I don't know, maybe you should. You'll be a fun roommate."

Jackson joked and said, "Maybe.. But then again, I might be too loud and be a disturbance to you." Jackson flexed his arms, once again showing and exposing his sleeveless shirt.

I blushed and threw a pillow on the couch towards him. Jackson laughed and I stuck out my tongue.

"Stop it you!" I finally said. Jackson smiled and helped me quickly unpack.

Soon enough, the dorm felt like home. My small plants in the box earlier now filled the window sills. My desk had my papers, notebooks, pens and my laptop. My clothes hung open, my bed made. I finished up there as Jackson worked on getting my supplies into the cabinets in the kitchen.

"This is home." I said.

Jackson glanced over at me and smiled... "yes.." He then whispered.. "I'm looking at home." as his eyes were fixed on me.... "Anywhere with you IS my home."

I didn't hear what Jackson said, but I caught Jackson staring at me and smiling as I called over to him.

"What was that babe?" I asked.

Jackson snapped out of his thought and said, "I said yes... It looks like home.. but not quite.. because I think you need some food first.. or you'll be starving as you live here."

I laughed, in which I totally spaced out on the food.

Me: Yes! haha, that's true! I totally forgot!

Jackson smiled and said, "That's okay, I guess that just means time for us to grab some food and final touches to this place before you live live here."

I smiled.

"Yes, food sounds great!" I said.

J: I know just the place too.

"Huh?" I said.

Jackson grabbed my hand and we walked out the door before I could ask where we were going.
