Chapter 19: Metal Manipulation

The book was grey in colour covered in fur but the cover of the book was that of a ball.

After touching the book, information pertaining to the book was displayed.

[ Metal Manipulation Level 5.( Tier 1)

This allows the manipulation of metal into any shape or form. The limitations of the skill is the cost of mana and imagination. ]

[ Would you like to learn this skill? ]

[ Yes/No ]

'My goodness is this the world I was brought to? That damn geezer didn't tell me about me drifting off to an apocalyptic world,'as these various thoughts flashed through his mind he proceeded to click accept.

The skill book disintegrated into a tome of light which proceeded to the conscience of Vincent.

Within Vincent conscience a rune flashes several times before settling in the form of a ball. Information pertaining to metal manipulation was entrenched into the brain of Vincent.

How to activate with the rest being left up to his imagination.

"Looks like this world has a new magneto," Vincent muttered.

[ User has learnt four active skills. User can only learn four more active skills within tier 0 ]

This is not surprising since it's now fairly common in apocalyptic novels.

After dealing with the matters concerning the skill, he then proceeded to check information about the knuckle that came with the skill book.

[ Bare Knuckles: It is said that this knuckle can blow a hole through any creature below level 30 and rattle the internal organs of enemies.

Effects: Strength +25 when equipped. ]

The gauntlet was a pristine black with countless engravings flowing mysteriously along the knuckles. It had spikes on its knuckle making it look mysterious yet menacing. It was thick and heavy.

One word only came to the mind of Vincent as he examined the Gauntlets closely.

'Cool.'

After equipping the gauntlet he felt a rush of strength flow through him as he made several jabs in the air.

'Whoosh.'

They continuously whistled after every jab Vincent threw.

'Rustle.'

Vincent's feline ears twitched as he heard various disorganised footsteps converging towards his location.

*Rawr*

A pack of zombie's that were four in number converged at the location of Vincent.

The zombie's seeing the presence of the delectable meal could only express themselves in a cacophony of roars.

As they rushed to Vincent eager to have a bite of him.

Literally.

Vincent seeing the speed of the zombies faster as compared to that of his former foe.

He also rushed towards the zombie eager to test the Prowess of Bare Knuckles.

Meeting midway, the lead zombie threw multiple Slash at Vincent who dodged by leaning in the opposite direction of the attacks.

The zombie seeing its actions bearing no fruit dived at Vincent opening its mouth wide.

Trying to have a bite of Vincent.

Vincent who saw the unexpected attack of the zombie let out a curse.

"Fuck."

He was shocked by the unexpected attack as he rolled to his left and dodged the zombie that crashed on the ground.

Recovering and leaping to his feet. He dashed at the zombie as he threw a punch at its head.

*Pow*

The sound akin to a burst balloon resounded as the head of the zombie literally burst apart. Light gathered from the zombie filling the very being of Vincent.

[ You have killed a Level 6 Zombie. ]

[ You have Levelled Up. ]

...

Multiple notifications flashed in his vision but it was not enough to distract him.

Without wasting any much time he scanned his vicinity to measure the approximate location of the remaining zombies.

Seeing as he dispatched off the strongest zombie. Caelan proceeded to use these zombies to test the skill he just received.

Eager to know the Prowess of the skill that was described to be in the realm of tier 1.

With information of activating the skill embedded in his very being, using it was a breeze.

Vincent began with baby steps. He imagined a glass shard that was Y in shape with the edge pointedand sharp.

The shard that was silver in cour manifested in the air floating silently. Though he felt a miniscule strain, he knew he was nowhere near his limit.

Focusing, the four magic circles flashed followed by the manifestation of four more shards.

Followed by another four. With the manifestation of nine shards. He felt a strain in his head, his vision becoming cloudy. Gritting his teeth he endured the pain that threatened to split his head as he manifested the tenth shard.

With blood flowing from his nose a magic circle manifested. Sensing that he was about to lose conscience if he didn't use the shards, he mentally directed the shards at the Zombies.

Flying at breakneck speed, three of the shards found themselves impaling the lead zombie. One in its head, another in its neck and the last in its chest.

Of the seven shards all found their places in their targets. Four piercing the head of another zombie making it look like candles on a cake and of the other three. Two shards were found embedding themselves deeply in the eyes of the zombie and one in the head.

Multiple tomes of light drifted out of the dead zombies and flew towards Vincent.

Followed by multiple notifications

[ You have killed a Level 3 Zombie. ]

[ You have killed a Level 4 Zombie. ]

[ You have killed a Level 4 Zombie. ]

[ You have Levelled Up. ]

Without paying attention to the remaining notifications he focused on the corpses to see if there were loots that were dropped.

To his delight, it seemed lady luck had finally showed him a bit of her cleavage.

Since he received two skill books and nothing else.

Of the two skills.

One book was golden and covered in scales. Mysterious runes were etched on the book, with the cover of the book having a mini book drawn on it. The mini book was shining brightly like the light at the end of a tunnel.

The second book was plain and black in colour. On its cover was a humanoid standing in a combat ready stance.

Rubbing his furry hands together, he eagerly checked the description of the skills he received.

After seeing the description of the skill, he could not stop himself from grinning as he experienced a windfall.

Before he could perform actions that enables the learning of Skills. A notification covered his vision that left Jim mortified.

His expression warped into that of despair, quickly replaced by hope.
