141 Tension

"Olivia. I'm Olivia Smith and getting to hear myself being called by Emma. I'm not Emma. 

I never want to be, but I'm interested in what she has. I want them to be mine.

I have them now, but will soon lose them. Can you imagine? Not fair right?" She turned to look at him and he nodded his head seriously. 

"It's not fair." He said and saw her look relieved as if she was glad that he thinks the same as her.

"I know. I'm scared. I'm getting too attached and scared to part with it." She said.

Brian had always known that something was off with her. She wasn't the same girl who came into his hotel room that day.

People changed, yes.

But her changes were just too much to be deemed reasonable.

He could tell that she was under the influence of alcohol. He wouldn't probe if he didn't feel that it's necessary.

He wanted to know her. Not the 'her' she's faking to be, but the real one.
