Chapter 7- HEART ATTACK

This is like the 50th time that I've asked the doctor if I may be having a heart attack, my heart is threatening to beat out of my chest. I'm in Jade's room making sure she's still breathing. She is… barely. Why does this have to happen to me? As soon as I find my mate this happens I swear sometimes the goddesses have a horrible sense of humor.

That's when I hear a very faint scream and I look towards the bed and she's… alive and awake. I'm at her side in an instant, she bursts into tears and I know it's on my behalf. She doesn't need to worry about me I wish she would worry about herself more than me at this point. "Jade please don't cry on my behalf" she doesn't listen, she just doesn't stop crying, and that's when I hear it. The piercing beeping I look to her heart machine… and NO! She's losing heart beats quickly, I press the buzzer beside her to alert someone, anyone. Luckily a nurse and a doctor come in to attach her back to all these chords again. I didn't even realize they were unattached. After they leave I fall sleep and dream of rapid beeping and a scared face that is Jade's.

I wake from the dreams to see a Jade that is trying but failing to unattach her chords from her. "Oh no you don't" I glare at her, "It's nice to see you too Sabastian, why can't I untie myself from all of these wires? They are very uncomfortable" oh a bit of sarcasm from Miss Steele, but then a very unpleasant image pops unbidden in my head and it reminds me why she shouldn't unplug herself from the machines. "Because Jade you tried that earlier today and you… well it didn't end well" can't you see the logic behind it Jade? "Sabastian, how long have I been in the hospital?" Wow quick change of conversation. "A week and a couple of hours" I say very timidly and that reminds me I need to bash the hell out of Jackson when I see him next, I laugh a bit and Jade joins in but soon winces, "Take it easy Jade it's not good for you to take strain on your body" "okay." "I'm going to go and tell your parents you're alive and awake, love you" and with that I leave a quick peck on her cold forehead, and as soon as I am out of the room it registers what I have just said, fuck let's hope she either forgets I've said it or she didn't even hear it.

When I walk into the waiting room both of Jade's parents run up to me and start to bombard me with questions about Jade and if she's alive. "Yes she's alive, and feeling well I think you should go in and say hi" they both nod their heads and walk into Jade's hospital room, soon following me.

We walk into the room and Jade's passed out again on the bed, god she must be exhausted. Her mum goes straight to her right side while her dad goes to her left and I stay standing there at the end of her bed watching her mum cry into the bed, her dad trying to be strong for her mum and me just being rooted to the spot looking at her with love and pure lust in my eyes.

After a while she finally stirs from her sleep and looks up straight into my eyes but soon recovers and looks toward her mum, "mum please don't cry" "Oh darling thank the lord, you're alive" "I'm okay mum, just a little sore. Hey dad how are you?" "I should be asking you that kid, but yeah I'm fine." At that point someone barges into the room and I was going to glare at the nurse to tell her to fuck off. But it's not the nurse. No. It's my mum and my… dad? WHAT. THE. FUCK!!!!!! "Amy and Darren can we please talk with you about your daughter for a moment" and with that my mum, dad and Jade's mum and dad walk out of the room leaving me and Jade alone.

She looks like she has just lost her all-time favorite puppy or something, "they'll be back don't worry" Jade looks towards me with determination etched on her brow which makes a small v shape between her brows. Oh how I'd love to kiss that because I've heard that those are very soft to kiss, "Sabastian… I… love you so much it scares me, don't leave me ever" wait whaaaaat?! She loves me? She loves me! "Sabastian, she loves us, she really does love us!" "I know just try your best to stay calm Serene" "okay I'll try my best but I'm not making any promises." "I'm not going anywhere Jade, you are my other half, you're my mate" and maybe for the 4th time today she bursts into tears. Happy tears. "Please don't cry Jade" but she doesn't listen so instead of being a sook about it I hold her for an eternity. She's finally said it, she loves me. And at this moment I don't want to be anywhere else.
