Chapter 12 The Beginning (11)

ZACH'S POV

As I watched her walk away I let out a chuckle. Zane was confused but I wanted to keep our conversation to ourselves. It's just something small that is shared by only the both of us and it's all I have right now so I'm going to keep it that way.

I walked with Zane to class, along the way I asked him what he meant by asking her if he'd see her tonight with Lizzie. He just smiled and told me I would find out. In class I sat at my desk and thought about my encounter with..... her, her teasing made it so I don't even know her name.

I realize I really don't know anything about her. I didn't know she liked reading, I didn't know what she liked to read, I don't know her NAME, I also didn't expect the way she reacted to my teasing and even teased me back. I think I'm really going to like getting to know her and I know I can't get her out of my mind.

The next thing I know 1st Block is over and I'm heading to 2nd Block. She is in my 2nd block and I can't wait to see her, the best part is she doesn't even realize I am in her 2nd Block. Yesterday was my first day of school and I didn't know her yet so I didn't really notice her until 3rd Block, when she also noticed me. In 2nd Block we get to sit wherever we want, so I choose the table diagonally behind the table all of her friends are sitting. As soon as I sit down and get settled some of the kids I met yesterday come and sit at my table, 3 boys and 2 girls. I don't remember their names but they quickly introduced themselves again, during this time she walks in and sits down. I hear one of her friends say "Hey Emily" and I smirked, Bingo.

I guess someone tricked me, whatever she will pay for that. I focus on the teacher as they start talking. This class is Math but the teacher says instead of teaching us, there is an assembly we are going to attend. She says it has something to do with a school festival or dance, I glance over at Emily and see her watching intently like she is waiting for something. I stop listening to the teacher because we will learn about that at the assembly, and I look at Emily. I didn't realize earlier this morning but she was wearing a somewhat loose red shirt that still showed her skinny figure and navy blue jeans. Her sleek, dark, curly, brown hair fell to just past her shoulder and she wore no makeup. She was beautiful, even though she looked fine in her gym clothes yesterday.

After a about one or two minutes of me looking at her she glanced over at me. I didn't look away but caught her gaze and looked intently into her blue eyes. She returned the look for a while until an announcement calling all Advanced Choir students to head to the gym. She looked away and then stood up, along with some of her friends including Jennette and Bailey. They walked over to the teacher, handed her a pass, then walked out of the classroom. I swear I even saw a faint blush creep on her cheek when she looked away.
