Landless academy
The trip to the Academy was peaceful and smooth as they traveled through a secured location on the sea, which was void of any and all Warpers which is the official name of the invaders of earth.
It was around midnight and Leo was peacefully sleeping, or was before a booming voice came through the intercoms.
"WAKE UP, AND PREPARE TO DISEMBARK."
The voice startled awake the whole ship and a few thuds could be heard from the children who jumped off their bed and fell onto the ground.
Leo's eyes slowly snapped open and yawned as he sat up. Taking a deep breath he felt oddly refreshed and felt like the air was fresher. taking a few deep breaths, before moving on.
Kicking his sheets off of him he stood up stretched before quickly making his bed and grabbing his few things he brought with him from under his bed. doubling checking his has everything he left the room moving swiftly to the deck.
From the deck he can see a castle like city being illuminated by the night sky. You could just barley see the outline of the city, but you could see the livelyness, and bustle even at night. ships were going in and some where leaving, lights lit up the streets of the city making it look like something straight out of a fairy tale.
As they neared the city became more clear to the eye and in the center of all 4 majestic giant towers stood in the center of the city. They were the 4 pillars that outlined the academy.
Seemingly out of nowhere there ship was now in formation flowing towards the ports. carriers battleships, destroyers, cursiers, and much more. The decks of each were packed of children the excitement on there faces noticeable and even seemed to find it's way into the air making the atompshere lively.
Soon ships started slowing down. carriers stopped the farthest followed by battleships, and cursiers. The sea was to shallow for them to go farther so they couldn't go straight to port. instead those stopped ships had speed boats cutting through the sea towards them. The other ships were small enough to stop at the port.
In about an hour after all ships docked or dropped anchor. all the children were on land again. Excitement gleaming on most faces while others were indifferent some seasick, and a small bunch gloomy.
The children where hearded into 1 group of people to make organization quick and easy. once they where all grouped and lined up the captains of each ship stood before them all.
together they gave off a strong air of superiority and absolute power, but it seemed like something else as well?
"Welcome to the Glacia, the city of The Landless Academy. We will guide you to the entrance of the academy where you will meet with your instructors and they will guide you from there." With out further Ado let's hurry as we have to get back the front lines."
The instructors spun around to face the city. some clicked there feet together revealing a pair of roller blades built into there shoes, others tossed a small board out extending into a skateboard, and some stepped on what should have been air revealing a floating hoverboard.
without waiting they zipped off into the city. flustering some children as they all hurried with there own devices to keep up. however not all of them brought there devices and had to hitch rides with others.
hence causing the once a year embarrassing moment of kids chasing instructors through the streets with some of them hanging off the edge.
The lively town chuckled and clapped as they watched the amusement as it lasted, before they moved on with there chattering and goals.
After a while they reached the academy which wasnt actually in the center of the city as one may assume instead it was more towards the coast for obvious reasons and the city streched for miles in all directions besides the east where the academies personal port was. directly connected to the academy.
"Alright listen up" the captains from all the trsining ships stood before them. Cpt. Jess stood at the center.
"From here on out you are on your own, you decide who you trust and who you don't. in the end do what you must to survive. This isn't your normal academy it's more like a jungle. from the moment you step in you will be judged and observed by everyone. With that said goodluck."
Cpt. Jess saluted to the children turned and left dissapearing behind the academy gates. Some other Cpt. this time a male took the center.
"I am Cpt. Robert. You should familiarize yourselves with your surroundings first." He glanced to his side and 3 Cpts. stepped out and started handing our brochures.
"This is the map of the academy and it highlights all important places. In a week classes will begin and tomorrow you will meet your equalizer. Goodluck you will need it"
The captains saluted turned and dissapeared into the academy as well.
The children discussed amongst themselves while others immediately went into the academy either in groups or solo. The ones that stood out the most though where those will high grades from the start. such as the cold beauty who had a red grade in the test. Her name Heather Greenlight family ranked 5th, or Liz Proudswift ranked 7th, Oliver Webster ranked 8th, Quincy Dancer ranked 6th, A pair of twins Will and Hailey Bluewoods ranked 3rd. and a few more who have hidden themselves on the crowd all from ranked families.
Leo sighed to himself as he ignored liz who was chatting his ear off and walked towards the gates.
"This is going to be one hell of a year"
