The Army No One Knows

8 am.

The clock in the side table started ringing. His eyes won't open even if he wants to. His stomach feels like turning everytime he move. "I am never going to drink again.." He said to himself. Party last night was a blast and little let's just say awkward. He started remembering every detail he went through last night. And this is something that he won't forget for a long time, that's for sure. He get up and started cleaning himself up, his clothes is also a mess. "Mom is gonna freak, when she saw this".. He then walk straight into the bathroom.

After awhile, he went downstairs to the kitchen to fetch some breakfast, but when he arrive there is none. A letter was instead in the table, he pick it up and read, " Lantis, i went outside and won't be back until dinner, take of the house until then. Mom". Great, no breakfast again. This is the third day. Hungry and feeling a little nausea he sit and relax for a bit. My name is Lantis, a second year college in University of the Philippines. And on top of that, a NGSB or (No Girlfriend Since Birth). Miserable. Well anyways, instead of feeling down i constantly finding things to occupy my time. One of them is reading books, other is drinking with friends and playing some online games. Weird right? But that's what i am. I like doing those stuff.

I started cooking my breakfast and eat it as fast as i can. Sipping coffee and went back on the living room to start cleaning the house. After that, i don't know what to do next. Maybe go play some more games. After i clean the house, i went to a nearest internet cafe and started playing some games. In the midst of playing, a really annoying ad keeps popping on my screen. "Want to change your life? Click here!).. "Talk about annoying. This ad is really something." He then click the close button and resume playing his game. After abfew minutes another ad pop out. (Join now or else...).. This make his eyebrows fuzz. "Okay, just what are you up to..." Reluctantly he click the button says "Click Here!". He wait for a few seconds and nothing happens. "Stupid ads... Wasting my time like that." He continued playing until his bored and went home.

Just as he's walking a black SUV stops near him, and 2 guys in a black suit block his path. Thus bumping into them, he touch his head now aching. "What was that! It's like i bump into a steel door!.. Who are you guys?" He asked while still holding his head. The guy on the left spoke. "Are you Lantis Atreides?" A little stunned on why they know his name, he still answer. "Yes, who are you?" Asking while taking a step back. "We want you to come with us." Said the guy on the right. "Why?" He take another step back. "We are here to pick you up, besides you did join us right?" Confused on what the guy is saying, he immediately remember the ad earlier that he click unwantedly. Crap, that was stupid of me. Clicking a random ad like that. Now im in a mess. "Look if it's about that ad earlier it's no big deal, i just click it randomly." He said in a apologetic way. "Oh that wasn't random. So please get inside the car and our boss will explain everything to you." Crap, crap crap, he said "Boss" is this some kind of a mafia or something. Now i'm really in a mess. Afraid of being drag and making this two huge guy angry i went inside the car. Silently praying that i make it alive.

1 hour pass, i didn't make any move while on the car. No one's talking either. That 1 hour ride is just plain silence but my eyes are keeping a lookout in every place we went. Right now before we stop, i think we are in Cavite. Sangley point i think. It's a previous military base here in Cavite. But the question here is what are we going to do here. After we get out of the car the two guys lead me into a empty hangar. Literally empty. Nothing in here just 2 chairs facing each other. They make me sit on the chair, and wait for a couple minutes until one guys arrive in white suit. The guys saluted the guy who just walk in but it's a unique salute i ever seen. Instead of a normal military salute, their salute is facing forward and only two fingers is used. Just who is these guys anyways. Are they a independent military organization or a terrorist. Gods.

After that exchange of strange salutes, the two guys walked away and the guy in white suit sit in front of me.. "Welcome, Lantis. My Name is Alucard."

Okay, i said to myself. I'm still alive i guess i'll play along. "Why am i here?" I asked bravely. " You joined us, don't you not?" "If it's about the ad, i'm not really serious about it. I jist clicked it half heartedly." Alucard stood up and walked around me. " I see, but do you think it's a coincidence? Or perhaps a mistake." That's right, it's a mistake. That's what i want to say but no words is coming out of my mouth. What is happening. Alucard walk infront of me. " I think you don't understand anything. That ad was meant for you, and for you alone. Even if you ignore it there are many other ways to get your attention. You see, you have been chosen to join a group of military elites that the world has ever known." I'm shocked and couldn't believe what he's saying. Is this a joke? The confuse look on my face is giving it away so he continued talking. " This army that i spoke of is nothing like the army that every nation on this world is comparable. In terms of power, technology and people. Hence i called it SDF, or Special Defense Force. And you are chosen to join it's rank. But before that, a certain condition must be met." After that he immediately pull out a dagger and throw it at me. I'm dead that's for sure. That trajectory is heading in my head and i had no way of evading it. Right until it make it's way on my head, something happen. A flash of burning flame rush to the dagger burning it until it was turn into ashes. On my surprise that flame was not a normal color of fire. It was White. A smile painted on Alucards face. " Interesting.... It's seems you are not normal." Still in shocked, i slowly speak. "W-what was that...." My eyes are as big as my fist now and sweat fills my entire body. A little exhausted also, feels like i run for two hours non stop. "That my friend, was the sacred flame. A white flame that's even more powerful that any normal flame. It only inhabited humans with unique bloodline. May i ask, do you know who your father is?" The question took me back into reality. I never knew my father. My mom always tells me my dad died before i was born. So even if i wanted to know who he is, i wouldn't have the chance coz he died.

"He's still alive. But apparently, he doesn't live here anymore."

"Y-you know who my father is?" I asked.

"Yes.." He replied.

"Where is he?"

"Not from here."

"Here? In this country? Where then? USA? Canada? Where? I asked full of excitement.

"He lives in a planet called Atalan." And he smiled at me.

He's joking right? Planet what-now?

"Excuse me?"

"You heard me, and it's true. Did you also believe the earth is the only planet with living creatures in it?"

"Are you saying... I'm half alien?"

"You could say that."

"Please stop joking around" i said a little irritated.

"Your father's name was Lancero. And while on earth he goes by the name, Lance."

Still confused i shook my ahead a couple of times. How can you absorb something like that. For years i've known my dad who died and now these. This is too much to handle.
