No future.(2)

"Did you get my permission to dress like that to meet Brandon Chen?" He raised his voice, his tone unusually cold.

Jane frowned, feeling like she had lost all her freedom by selling herself to him.

As if he could read her thoughts, John grabbed her wrist like an angry lion. "Yes, for the next three months, I call the shots."

She lowered her head, staring at her red-painted toenails. Her heart ached and she felt suffocated, but she owed him a favor and it was only fair to pay him back.

"I understand," she said nonchalantly, showing passive resistance.

He glared at her, smoking quickly and fiercely, the air filled with smoke making her cough. She shook off his hand and walked towards the lake with the wind blowing against her.

After walking a few meters, she saw the lake covered in lotus flowers. When she reached out to touch one, she heard a ripping sound and her skirt split almost to her buttocks.

She silently pulled back her hand and looked around, realizing there was no one but John nearby. She quickly grabbed a lotus leaf and used it to cover her exposed legs.

John noticed her small gesture and his Adam's apple moved up and down. After he finished smoking, he motioned for her to follow. "Let's go."

She walked awkwardly, holding a large lotus leaf, and approached him. He took one look at her and got into the car.

She opened the back door and took off his suit jacket before sitting in the passenger seat. When she sat down, she covered herself with his jacket. John looked at her and raised an eyebrow. "Did you use my clothes?"

She stiffened and stared at him. His expression was cold and he wasn't joking.

She gritted her teeth and threw his jacket onto the back seat. Since they were already divorced, he couldn't touch her anymore, so what did she have to fear?

John's Adam's apple rolled uncontrollably as her slender legs were within his reach. He suspected that she did it on purpose.

This woman really had no face left.

The car drove into the city and eventually arrived at the Flame Club. The sky had turned dark, and the flashing billboards in the air were dazzling. Rows of luxury cars were parked outside, indicating the drunken extravagance that took place there.

She refused to get out of the car, suspecting that John had intentionally brought her here to embarrass her, and her dress was not suitable for meeting people.

"Get out of the car," he urged, standing next to the vehicle.

She tightly gripped the strap of her purse, her fingers turning white.

"Don't forget our agreement," he coldly reminded her.

Forced to do so, she opened her purse and rummaged through it, eventually finding a white handkerchief and two hairpins. She used them to create some decorations to barely cover her thighs.

However, the hairpins were not very secure, and she dared not take big steps. Helplessly, she approached John and tried to slow him down by grabbing his arm, but he pushed her away with disgust.

She stumbled and turned pale, gritting her teeth as she stared at John's cold back. If she asked him for help again tonight, she would be no better than a dog.

Taking small, quick steps, she finally arrived at the compartment where John was located.

As soon as she entered, several pairs of cold eyes turned to look at her all at once.

And among them, surprisingly, was Alice Garcia!
