A Gate

Celeste began to be able to hop on one leg as Zria lifted up the gate for her to crawl through.

"Is this gonna be okay," Zria looks at the other to make sure it was alright for her. "I can lift it up more if you want, I just don't want to make our trail obvious." Celeste gave a thumbs up as she began to crawl under. The grass and mud did not help her wound in the slighted bit. The word that came out of her mouth gave that away. The way the metal wire scraped her wounds was tragic. She made it through though.

"Well," Celeste barely had the strength to stand up, but did. The wound was now even more torn from knee to ankle. The dirt and grass looked as if an infection was making their way through her body. "That hurt."

"Are you okay," Zria's eyes flashed worry across them. The sight of her knee was not pretty. They both knew that.

"Yeah I'm fine. It's just a scratch," Celeste brushed off the debris from the wound and showed it off. "The scratch of a woman!" Zria smiled at her companions' optimism and began making her way through. She didn't struggle as much, but she still came out with a lot of scratches and dirt.

"A part of me wished we climbed over,"

"Yeah try," Celeste back-mouthed. "Good luck getting electrified." They both laughed as they made their way to the safe house.

"So," Zria tried to make conversation with the other. The silence was slowly killing and she had nothing to do anyways. "What do you think Sweden will be like?"

"I don't know," Celeste picks up a flower and looks at it in awe. "I just hope they have good food because I'm starving." Zria nodded her head in agreement. She couldn't wait for a good meal soon. Maybe the place had some food to make. They both continued walking while having a conversation about all the food they could eat.

"I love you, ya know." Zria looked at the other in shock. Well that was sudden. Where did that come from? Zria's mind began to panic over and over again.

"Well..." Celeste only laughed at her flusteredness

"It's okay," Celeste reassured her. "You don't have to say anything." Zria saw the weak smile in her eyes. Should I say something? This could be awkward for not just me. Instead Zria only nodded as they continued.

"Don't worry," Zria began to hold the other closer. The thought of losing someone she cared about scared her, but losing someone like Celeste was harder. Someone you could trust. So far, they have only been in deep, legalizing trouble, but they could trust each other. Right? "I trust you t-" the sound of a gun shot was heard throughout the field. Causing fear to run up and down both the girl's bodies. Run! That was the only thing going through both of the girls' minds. They both began to make their way through, making sure to not leave any marks behind. Zria could hear sirens and shouting. They lose sight of the beauty around them as they make their way to the safe house.
