Interlude: An Administrators Dutys

(Administrator POV)

Me and my 4 colleagues were doing managerial work at the moment. That was until we found a plan by the Overseer sorry Keeper. We called them the Overseer for the longest time but now everytime we do so we feel something beyond us grow irritated. And as previous men of science I have written down the most comprehensive detailed description of this feeling and have asked the Guard Captain to have a survey taken to see if this is a regular occurence. They had been ripping their hair out from trying to find how SCP-109 works to produce water.

While other scientists have been getting frustrated trying to find out the way SCP-1689 works. And it's not like they can explore the dimension since the whole things made of potatoes. With the only process made with "exploring" being how a guard who had taken up the role of chef would harvest a few pounds of potatoes before going to cook some really well made mashed potatoes. Back to the scientists, the only thing that has been currently hypothesized, and possible to do, would be researching how all the poatatoes inside the dimsension stay fresh and unrotten despite being introduced to everything from earth via the Burlap Bag.

SCP-063 however was being studied to see how its teeth cleaning capabilities could be replicated to be made for commercial use. While also researching it to replicate its now identified matter destroying capabilities to use for infliltration agents. But it has one fatal flaw it cannot go through inorganic matter perfect for say bodyguards or other unarmoured targets but impractical for military use.

The eggheads responsible for finding a way to curve this disadvantage have been very clear in emphasizing the danger of doing such. With their response to this request being and I quote.

"You do realize how dangerous this is. As first we would need to develop technology to hold this. Then find a way to stop its effects incase someone drops this and causes the destruction of the the human race by the item your described pentrating the core of the earth." It was after that explanation that we would consult the Overse-sorry Keeper over this issue. But even then the scientists explained how difficult it would be to understand the science behind the damn thing then take it and create another such item.

After all that I had placed a report detailing such ontop of the "Keepe"- sorry 'whatever this is it does not like sass' Keepers desk. And off to the side I had seen some plans detailing the transformation of Site-19 from a raearch facility to a fortress. Some of the ideas and strategys astounded me what also astounded me was the amount of money the Keeper was willing to soend on doing so. I being the now free of dutys administrator took it upon myself to make the Keepers dreams a reality.

Upon calling a meeting with my fellow administrators I laid out the Keepers intricate plans. One of the administrators who would work with the (Tinkerers). Before now were previously working on improving the design of the Scranton Reality Anchor so that it would be able to disguise from Reality Benders. Was taken with them to design the nee pipe network that would have to be installed, the contraptions with the

Heavy Containment/Entrance zone blinds trap and how to get a signal from the entrance zone containment breach shelters to what was implied to be the new hub of communications.

We had something to finally start doing with all the money we had accumulated from a lvl 4 infiltrators who had received a position in the higher echelons of the Mob. They were getting paid alot and boosted our revenue through framing others that weren't under them for stealing from the family. And was even regarded as a good leader as the part of their branch that they held was squeaky clean when it came to the rest of them. Not to discredit the rest of the infiltrators as the rest had taken over gangs or held high level positions and were plotting their ascension.

And with these people in high positions we had inherited some contacts through

U-surping the previous leadership. Or at my request create contacts and gain favours with those in the criminal underworld. Through those contacts we were able to get reatively high quantitys of HHV grade steel though for a huge sum of cash.

With materials,designing and personell squared away as we knew the Keeper would bring more people inside the facility. And with our imediate priotitys the other two agreed to work on setting up altleast some sort of defebse to help with the Defence in Depth strategy the Kepper seeme to be going for.

With those two handling that I went and took over the dutys of my fellow administrators as they went and helped with Bulwarks construction. As they did that I had the job to manage the somewhat newly acquired SCP's from Site-88. The ones that were the most eye catching was SCP-2986 a cardboard box that brings you to what we presume is an advanced spacecraft in a seperate dimension. The tech guys from the workshop sent some of there people over and were able to dismantle a smal part of the spaceship but reported that most of these materials weren't found on earth after some sample were taken and scanned. So instead of trying to build something we couldn't I assigned the scientists to try to find how the shipped worked. And the tech guys would be assigned to find an alternative for the materials present.

And next was the biological marvel that is SCP-2632 who is a human that has been since alive 1810 though they have been a victim of neurological decay. The scientists working on them have been having a hard time just getting started on how this happened. As their all samples taken have all come back saying he's just a normal guy.

Another interesting thing that I didn't know about when taking over my fellow administrators duty was our involvement with organized crim in North America. Our infiltrator in the mob has moved up a rung or two via playing some underhanded tactics,even for them. And the other infiltrators have been gaining territory from their acquired personnel through some gang wars. They have been doing exeptionaly well and it's a bit of a shame that there are so little of them. The level 2 infiltrators however have been doing very poorly we even had to cut contact with one of them because they were gettibg aressted. The other three of them after realizing how ill suited for the original task of infiltrating gangs have been assigned to a bank, a hospital and a tech company. The infiltrators would try to climb the corporate ladder and get into higher position to put authenticity on any storefronts the Keeper may or may not set up.
