1 Every End Has a Beginning (Revised)

People called me crazy, a madman for what I did. But in the end no one can blame someone for doing whatever it takes to survive. Heres the thing I didn't just want to "survive", stuck in some dead-end retail job living paycheck to paycheck waiting for the end of the workweak.

I, instead chose to thrive to put my skills to something I excelled at. Which was killing, assasination or for the less in the loop "murder". I ain't no saint, I could've stopped years ago and retired to some dinky island out in the pacific to live the rest of my days.

However in those years I found myself enjoying the job, the rush, the chase. The feeling as you watch your target run across their little 6,000^2 ft backyard as they curse themselves for getting such a big property. And at some point you can never go back. Especially after all the people you piss off sending waves upon waves of people after you.

So you fight, and I fought good. So good in fact that my Greek "friends" started calling me Dólos. Got it for famously pretending to be captured after having a gangers liutenant reporting on my "capture." To then lure the rest of them into a their own rigged hideout.

But unfortunetly everything must come to an end. I was reckless, foolish and downright stupid. I in all my glory decided to have a couple of cold one's after a succesfull job nabbing me $500,00 for destroying a rival gang (including "liberated" products.) As I was walking to a safehouse me being as sloppy and buzzed out failed to realize the glint of a rifle to late. I found myself wounded in an allyway perched up behind a dumpster bleeding out. Carefully applying field dressing to my shoulder. I heard as the mobsters closed in on my position outfitted in their longcoats concealing firearms.

As they advanced I realised I looked for a way out, a backdoor to a resturant. I rushed towards it returning fire with my previously stowed pistol in an inside coat pocket. Unfortunately a round found itself into my calf forcing me to limp the way there. When I finally reached the door I twisted the knob, but the door was locked. Quickly realizing the situation I dived with the little stength left in my leg behind a dumpster as another round found itself in my left shoulder.

I being the somewhat pragmatic individual I discerned I would die. And being the ever vengfull son of a bitch I was set on taking as many of them with me. Overall with all my injurys I was only able to leg loose a couple of rounds before I was riddled with bullets. And lying there dying I had but one thought.

'I have died early, not even reaching 40. But even though I feel content there could've, should've, been more to my life."

Yet, there was more

Murrey woke up for what seemed the first time. Making everything thing before seem like a distant dream. He still felt the memories, they just seemed distant. Murrey looked around and noticed his almost intangible being in nature. Like a cloud compressed into the shape of a humanoid. Sitting infront of him towered a being upon an ornate golden throne. Which looked like light created with lanterns flowing out his eyes. Aside from this his form was unmakable constantly shifting and changing from creatures beyond Murreys comprehension.

Finally after what felt like hours the being set it's gaze upon Murrey and spoke

"You mortal, shall be receiving a choice as all do."

Murrey tried to speak but found himself unable

"You may either go to the great beyond and based on your effects on others and overall the world go to your faiths heaven or hell."

"Or you may decide to live anew and enter the cycle of life and take up new body, but this is not all. Depending on your achievments you may be given gifts such as increased mental abilitys, or cursed with a weak body."

"What say You?"

Murrey finding himself able to speak once more immediately decided to enter the cycle of life. As being a firm aethiest didn't want to wander what he thought would be an empty void.

As Murrey selected this option the beings eyes glowed and he found himseld inside of a void. After assesing his souroundings he noticed a blue screen with a prompt saying.

[Initialize? Y/N D279 23H 59M 59s]

Murrey watched as the timer went down and realizing there was nothing to do selected Y.

Upon doing so he found himself knocked out with the screen displaying.

READ THIS

I have begun the process of rewriting this book hence the (old) in its title. I made a new one to keep this one in storage ror anyone who wants to view it, but know this, I tried rewriting this one then realized I should just make a new book. And in the process try to improve everything as Murrey wasn't much of a character.

Because I abandoned rewriting on this book at some point it jumps from one plotline to another making no sense. I'd recommend just not reading this one, but it's your choice if you wanna. The other book will be taking a different, but similar, direction so you may be exposing yourself to spoilers if you read further.
