52 052 - Kat Survives
After delivering the message I switched back to my other body on Reach and soon caught up with Noble Team.
Watching the team rushing through a building as the covenant began glassing the city I watched them run through the building and streets before reaching the bunker.
As soon as they were just mere feet away from safety a Covenant Phantom hovers above a crack in the building as a large Sangheili aimed down towards the Spartans with his rifle.
BAM!
A small beam of plasma is fired down at the Spartans and accurately pierces through Kat's helmet and head...
Seeing Kat fall to the ground Noble Team shouts as they fired upon the Covenant Phantom as they pulled Kat's body into the bunker.
Unknown to them the moment that beam was fired her body was replaced with a life-like dummy and her real unconscious body was teleported to Jorge with a note saying "You explain to her about her situation, I ain't going to bother. Anyway, I am with the rest of your team, Also make sure to continue evacuating the survivors for 10 more days before evacuating from the camp with all that remains within the camp."
A few hours later Noble Team and the survivors in the bunker evacuated from the ruined city with Kat's fake body.
With the entire team down and depressed they had little time for grief as they were assigned their next mission...
Their mission was a Torch-and-Burn OP that involved destroying Sword Base.
Dropping a small distance away from the base in the lake with some ODST, Noble Six was ordered to take out the Covenant anti-air turrets in the air so his reinforcements could land at Sword Base.
Moving up from the water the small squad and Noble Six approached the beach from the water.
On the shore, they could see a few small ruined buildings and some Covenant stationed around the buildings.
With the Covenant's lack of attention, they didn't even notice as Noble Six and the others closed on them and quietly took them all out.
As they moved along the beach taking out any Covenant they saw the small squad along with Noble Six found a Scorpian-class Tank and a few Covenant Ghosts.
A Ghost was a small purple vehicle that can only be driven by one person.
It floats off the ground and had a booster and two small plasma cannons at the front.
Climbing onto the tank Noble Six opened up the tank's latch and said, "You guys get on those Ghosts, I will be the vanguard and take out the heavy hitters, one of you get in my Gunner Seat!"
"Yes, Sir!" The ODST saluted before getting on the Ghosts and one of them climbing into the Gunner Seat on the tank.
Turning on the Tank, Noble Six took the vanguard as the ODST on Ghosts floated behind him.
Driving over a hill they could see the large Anti-air turret just ahead with a small Covenant Force swarming around it.
"Let's give 'em hell!" Shouted Noble Six as he fired the tank's main cannon at a small group of Covenant.
BOOM!
As the small group exploded and died the covenant in the area instantly was alerted and began firing at the large tank.
Suddenly four Ghosts came flying from behind the tank as they rained plasma upon the covenant.
Within minutes all of the Covenant in and around the Anti-air turret were defeated before Noble Six then destroyed the turret with the tank.
After destroying the AA Turret, the group started moving towards Sword Base where they fought more covenant on their way there.
Soon Noble Six and the ODST reached the tunnel where Noble Six had a flashback of when he used the Target Orbital Ordiance Locator that he used to take out two Wraiths simultaneously.
Hopping off of their badly damaged vehicles that were close to exploding the ODST smiled and laughed before saying "We sure showed them!"
"Focus, just up this ramp is more covenant and our reinforcements, we will be flanking the enemy, so do not fire until we all get clear-kill shots," Noble Six commanded.
"Yes, Sir!" Shouted the ODST in low tones as to not alert the enemy.
Noble Six just nodded and headed up the ramp with the ODST with his rifle up and ready.
Soon they noticed a few Elites(Sangheili) and Grunts(Ungoy) shooting at some UNSC Marines with their backs facing towards the group.
Noble Six looked at the others and nodded as he stalked up to an Elite in white and red armor.
Raising his knife he was about to jump onto the Elite and plunge the blade into its throat but having a bad feeling the Elite dodged and turned around to find Noble Six with his knife in hand.
Frowining Noble Six dodged out of the way as the Elite began unloading its plasma rounds in Noble Six's direction.
Looking over it seemed the other ODST managed to kill their respective targets before they began firing at the enemy stuck between them and their reinforcements.
As the ODST and UNSC Marines killed off the rest of the covenant in the area, Noble Six killed the Elite Ultra before reloading his pistol and sheathing his knife.
Looking at the reinforcements Noble Six just shrugged and said "You have your respective missions so get to it."
Heading into the base Noble Six quickly met with the other members of Noble Team and fought with them and the reinforcements up the building clearing out the covenant from the building.
