004 - The Beta Testers Part Three
We wandered out of the village and went to a secluded area where no other players were at and started approaching a slime.
I mentally looked at the gear I was wearing before continuing my approach.
[Damaged Wooden Staff(Mage) - 1 Physical Damage]
[Tattered Robes(Mage) - Grants a damage reduction of 1-10]
It was a normal blue slime just like all the others in this Slime Forrest.
It was see-through and had two dark blue spots that resemble its eyes.
At its slimy center was its Core.
We murmured our spells and a strange feeling was felt from our bodies as both an arrow of Ice and an arrow of Rock appeared hovering in front of our bodies.
With staff in our left hands, we pointed the staff towards the slime in front of us and the magical arrows launched.
[-5 HP to Level 3 Slime]
[-10 HP to Level 3 Slime]
[Level 3 Slime now has 285 HP remaining!]
The Slime made a weird sound and then suddenly six more slimes crawled from the bushes and joined the other slime.
The six new slimes ranged from level 1 to 4.
The slimes moved at a slow speed so we could easily outwalk them, but over time more and more slimes started appearing!
Before long there were dozens of slimes chasing us and it was only increasing!
Soon we met another group of players who were dealing with the same circumstance.
They had dozens of slimes chasing them as well!
"God damn these slimes! They are like a swarm of rats!" the other group of players complained.
We went our separate ways with the dozens if not hundreds of slimes chasing us.
It was like a weird wave of blue following behind us.
We could outrun them but over time more and more slimes would join the angry horde following us.
I estimate around 200+ Slimes are following us...
We continuously fired our spells towards the slimes but before we could even kill a single slime we ran out of mana...
But since our MP regenerated at 11 per minute (Natural 10 MP Regen + the 10% from the Robe) we could cast around 3 spells every two minutes.
Which would total to 20 Damage per two minutes...
And that's only if we manage to hit any of the slimes...
Thankfully since the slimes are grouped up as they chase us it would be quite hard to miss a slime with a spell...
Minutes pass and we finally killed our first slime!

The Slime also appeared to have dropped a vial of blue goo and a coin?
We kitted the slimes around in a circle and picked up the slime drops.
We picked them up and continued our kitting.

[Copper Coin(Currency) - A Coin made of copper, it is the most common currency used]

Over the course of a few...hours, we started thinning out the health of the entire slime horde chasing us and we felt that it would only take a few strikes from our spells to kill a single slime in the horde.
Over the course of the next hour, we finally managed to kill the slimes chasing us...
We gained a bonus for any slime of a higher level than us which helped us greatly in reaching 700/1,000 EXP.
For every level over us, we gained an extra 10% chance of EXP which meant when we killed a Level 5 Slime we got a bonus of 40% extra EXP.
We have now been logged in this 'game' for 10 Hours and decided to log off.
We clicked log off and looked at each other and I said, "I hope we can join tomorrow when we sleep..."
He nodded and I clicked Log off.
