This was also why those people who do execution would not know which one of them was the one having the gun with bullet. There would be a lot of people and a stack of guns with one of them contained bullet, but the soldiers were not told which one it was. The soldiers picked the gun randomly and stood on their position.

When they were given order, they would aim and shoot. One of them would kill the prisoner, but the soldiers would not know which one of them it was. It was a method to allow them to not have to bear the weight of killing people as not everyone could live with that fact.

But war changed everything.

It was kill or be killed. William's eyes flashed coldly when his thought reached war. There was faint ruthlessness seeped in his eyes for a moment before it was doused up. He sensed someone was coming.

"Oh, you're back, Peta?" A man walked in. Based on his demeanor, William could guess that he must be the leader.
