A Surprise Visit

Hiro had been looking forward to spending the weekend with Ayumi, but on Saturday morning, he woke up to a text from her saying that she had to cancel their plans.

"Sorry, Hiro, something came up at home. I won't be able to hang out with you today," the text read.

Hiro was disappointed but understanding. He knew that Ayumi had a lot of responsibilities at home, and he didn't want to add to her stress.

He spent the day doing some homework and playing video games, trying to distract himself from his disappointment. But as the day went on, he couldn't shake the feeling that something was off.

In the evening, he decided to go for a walk to clear his head. He wandered aimlessly through the city streets, lost in thought, when he heard a familiar voice calling his name.

"Hiro! Hiro, wait up!"

He turned around and saw Ayumi running towards him, a big smile on her face.

"Ayumi, what are you doing here?" Hiro asked, surprised.

"I wanted to surprise you!" Ayumi said, grinning. "I finished up my chores early, so I decided to come and see you."

Hiro couldn't believe his luck. He had been feeling so down all day, and now Ayumi was here, right in front of him.

They walked to a nearby café and ordered some drinks, chatting and catching up on each other's lives. Hiro couldn't stop staring at Ayumi, feeling so grateful to have her in his life.

After they finished their drinks, Ayumi suggested that they take a walk through the park. Hiro eagerly agreed, enjoying the fresh air and the sound of Ayumi's laughter.

As they walked, Ayumi stopped suddenly and turned to face Hiro.

"Hiro, I have something to tell you," she said, looking nervous.

Hiro felt a pang of worry. "What is it, Ayumi? Is something wrong?"

Ayumi took a deep breath. "No, nothing's wrong. It's just that...I'm moving away."

Hiro felt like he had been punched in the gut. "What? When? Where are you going?"

"I got accepted into a university in Tokyo, and I'm leaving in a few weeks," Ayumi said, tears welling up in her eyes.

Hiro felt like his world was falling apart. He couldn't imagine his life without Ayumi by his side. But he knew that he had to be strong for her.

"Ayumi, that's amazing news! Congratulations!" he said, putting on a brave smile.

Ayumi looked at him, her eyes full of gratitude. "Thank you, Hiro. I'm so glad you're happy for me."

Hiro took Ayumi's hand and pulled her close. "I'll miss you so much, Ayumi. But I know you'll do great things in Tokyo. And we'll stay in touch, right?"

Ayumi nodded, wiping away her tears. "Of course, Hiro. You're my best friend, and I'll never forget you."

Hiro hugged Ayumi tightly, feeling grateful for every moment they had spent together. He knew that their love story might not have a happy ending, but he was determined to cherish every moment they had left together.
