1 A New Life

The sky tonight was especially calm. Just like silence before a storm.

In a luxurious bedroom, layed a gorgeous lady on her bed. The whole room was lavishly designed by many precious, rare items. The brilliant gold and blue colours of the walls gave an ascetic feel to the room.

The lady layed there without a movement. Her face had a serene expression. But she wasn't asleep.

Neelakshi layed awake in the bed, processing all that had happened a few hours ago. At last she concluded that she wasn't going insane!

The prosperous Empire of Amarkantak, was ruled by the Emperor Amar Pratap. The Empire was spread far and wide. The Emperor had three wives --- The Empress Mallika, First Consort Aaradhana and Second Consort Shantipriya. There were five royal children --- 1st prince from Empress. 2nd prince from 1st Consort. 3rd prince and 1st Princess from 2nd Consort. 5th prince was the son of Emperor's fourth and most favourite wife, Avantika. She died while giving birth to 5th prince and the latter was adopted by the Empress.

Neelakshi was the daughter of the Prime minister of the Empire. She had an elder brother who doted on her to no extent. Her father and mother too loved her dearly. She was the pearl of the Prime minister house.

Neelakshi was an intelligent person. She had ample scholarly knowledge along with mastery of weapons. She was cunning and ambitious.

However, she fell for the wrong person. A misplaced trust lead her to death.

" Since I am alive again, i will show those people, who i really am !!! I will not spare them for deceiving me!!! "

In the silence of night, a bow was made. A promise to herself. She will not spare anyone. This time the world will witness a different persona of hers!

"The sky is exceptionally calm today." A man in black commented to his partner.

" It's the calm before a storm." The other man dressed identically, answered.

" Who do you think will be responsible for the storm?" He asked amused.

" The time will show us."

" Come on brother, let's go back now, else we will be seen."

"Hmm"

The two men in black casually jumped out of the window of a dimly lit room.

In the room, there layed a corpse on the bed, castrated and beheaded!
