1 Day 1

I woke up in the corner of the room.

I stood up to see was wearing the same clothes I came here in.

But where is here?

I remembered yesterday's events.

Peter saw my scars, my biggest secret.

dang it.

I Walked over to the door and I was about to open it when I heard two voices.

"-saw them." Someone said.

Peter I think.

"They are all over her arms Mr. Stark! I'm worried about her. These aren't just some like, old accidental scars, they looked like, like, like stab marks Mr. Stark."

Backstabbing (no pun intended) little jerk.

I thought I could trust him.

The one time I thought I could trust someone.

This is why I avoid feelings.

Then Tony replied.

"Ok kid, thanks. I'll have Banner take a look at her arms during her check up. She told me that she was homeless. So we need to find out what has happened to her. Kid, how big are these scars?"

There was a pause that indicated that Peter was making the size with his hands.

"Oh my God. What DID happen to her? I wonder if there are others on the rest of her body..."

I slammed open the door and walked down the hall.

They both looked at me.

I looked at Tony.

"YOU can mind your own business." I glared at him.

Then I looked at Peter.

"And YOU," I looked at him then reflected my emotions on my face, a hurt expression.

"I thought you were my friend."

He looked down.

I walked in between them but Tony grabbed my arm.

"Look, kid-"

I cut him off.

"No, YOU look HERE. I don't give a thing about what you have to say to me. You have no idea what I have been through, and you don't get to know. I don't want to be here, so most of the time, I won't be. Let go of me now or I will pry myself out of the fingers of your corpse."

His grip lessened.

And I wrenched my arm out of his grasp.

"Curfew is ten!"

He called after me as I reached the door.

"MY curfew is when I say it is."

I shot him a look of venom then walked out.

There is no way I am letting them take my blood.

The only reason why the police station didn't see anything sketch about my blood is because their blood analyzers are cheap.

The tech of that building could pick apart every single detail of my blood, telling them exactly what I am.

I Can't let that happen.

It's so exhausting to keep pushing people away.

At some point I'm going to have to let someone in.

But that is only going to happen when I find someone who I think I thought that could be Peter, but that idea kind of blew up in my face.

But, maybe I could give him another chance?

Maybe.

The building is surrounded by woods.

Once I'm in there I can shift.

Right before I was about to reach the tree line I heard a strange sound and turned to my left just in time to see Peter swinging on one of his webs straight at me.

He landed on the ground gracefully and then walked over to me.

I turned back to the trees and continued walking.

I seriously did not want to deal with this right now.

"Wait, Giselle, I-"

"leave me alone." I interrupted.

It was clear he was trying to apologize, but I came here solely to get away from people like him.

So now is not the time.

"No, Giselle, I need to apologize."

"No, you don't. You REALLY don't. And I would prefer it if you didn't even try."

He looked at me.

"Look, Giselle, I'm sorry, I just, I was worried about you."

"Yeah, I heard that as I eavesdropped on your secret conversation with Tony about me and how Banner was going to take my blood. Yeah, that's not going to happen, like I'm going to let you guys take my blood and snoop in stuff that has nothing to do with you. You guys don't get to just dissect my secrets because you feel like it!"

dang it.

I just hinted in on the fact didn't want the, to get my blood.

"Look Giselle, I really am sorry. I shouldn't have gone behind your back like that. It was your secret that you trusted with me. I understand that you've been through a lot, and that you haven't trusted very many people-"

"No one." I corrected.

He looked at me.

"What?"

"I have never trusted anyone with anything. You seeing my arms was an accident, and I thought-"

I stopped.

"You thought what?"

He asked.

"Nevermind."

I turned my back and ran.

He webbed my jacket and pulled, probably expecting to pull me back closer to him but instead just taking my jacket off. I stopped and turned around.

He was now seeing my arm scars in broad daylight.

He stared at them.

I walked over to him and he hugged me.

As he was hugging me I grabbed his arm and took my jacket back right before pressing the button that expels webs.

It hit the top corner of the building and I used my telekinesis to make it seem like I just pushed him So he swung onto the roof and turned around to look at me.

I looked back for a second before shoving my hands in my pockets, pulling up my hood, and walking into the woods.

I ran in the woods in tiger form.

God, it felt good to be free.

I stopped at a lake and watched the water moving beautifully.

I had an idea.

Granted, I haven't tried it in a long time, but it might be nice to do it again.

Turned back into my human form, then grew into a dragon.

I sat there and sighed.

He I wish I could be here forever, just sitting peacefully.

Then I heard something odd, something.... unnatural.

I looked up in the air to see a guy with wings flying overhead.

I heard him say something.

"Stark, there's, there's a freaking dragon down in the lagoon."

shoot.

Peace never lasts long does it?

I shifted back into a tiger and ran into the trees, the falcon dude following me.

"Stark, the dragon just turned into a tiger. In pursuit."

Well, that's not good.

I stopped abruptly, and turned into a bug.

I flew about twenty yards away before I stopped again and turned into my human form again.

I just sat there for a second.

Watching the falcon dude.

Other avengers came over, curious to see the dragon.

I smirked.

Well then, I might as well give them a dragon to see.

I turned into my dragon, they all looked at me as I broke the trees around me, towering twenty feet in the air.

I looked at them for a few seconds and they all got into fighting positions.

They all attacked me at once.

My legs were burned and there were several cut marks on my arms.

I flew into the air like a rocket.

Iron man Hit me in the eye with a blue flash of pain bringing light.

Then I felt something hit me.

I looked down, Peter was in his suit, and he was crawling all over me.

He tied one of my arms to my leg, then I shook him off.

But he webbed me and got right back on.

This was not supposed to happen!

I didn't want to hurt him!

Why do I care so much!

Maybe if I just....

I turned into a falcon.

With two feet wingspan and two feet in length.

His webbing ripped off my feathers and we both plummeted to the floor, hundreds of yards from the Ground.

He looked so vulnerable, falling to the ground.

It was then, right then, that I knew that I cared about him.

I turned back into my dragon and dived right below him and scooped him up.

He got onto his feet and started to climb closer and closer to my head.

Wait, what is he doing.

His intentions were clear once he punched me point blank in the eye.

Right where Tony got me.

I roared and tumbled in the air.

I dived and landed on the roof of the avengers building.

I then turned into a bug and while he was looking for me I jumped off of the roof.

In midair I turned into a small canary and flew right back into the forest.

I wouldn't be turning into a dragon for a while.

****************************************

Around seven I walked in through the front doors to see the whole avengers team eating together.

They were all talking and I tried to go unnoticed but Tony caught a look at my face.

"Oh my god hat happened Giselle?"

He walked over quickly and grabbed my face with a thumb on either side of my injured eye as he inspected it.

I had forgotten about how Peter punched my eye, and how Tony shot me in the same eye, it's probably super dark and purple and burnt.

Peter walked over to me, looking at my eye with curiosity.

I backed away from Tony and tried to walk away but he stopped me.

"Giselle, what happened?"

Everyone was looking at me now.

"Nothing! I just..."

I tried to think of an excuse.

"I tripped." I decided.

"You tripped?"

Tony said in disbelief as he crossed his arms.

I nodded.

"And fell."

He looked at me for a few seconds.

"Well, come and join us in the kitchen."

I looked at him for a few seconds and reluctantly nodded.

Might as well take a break from the jerk act.

Somehow, there was only one available seat.

Right In between Tony and Peter.

I avoided Peters gaze.

I sat down and looked at the table.

"So, how was your day Giselle?"

Natasha asked me.

"Um, it was ok I guess, thanks for asking."

She nodded.

I decided to skip the part about turning into a dragon and getting punched in the face by the guy trying to be my friend and the guy who is supposed to be my dad.

Tony cut in.

"What did you do today?"

I shrugged.

"I mean, I went for a run. Nothing important."

That's not technically a lie.

I just wasn't running in human form.

And it kind of helps my story of tripping and falling.

Tony nodded for a while, "Now when are you going to tell me why you REALLY got a black eye?"

I looked at him.

"I'm going to bed."

He looked at me, "Giselle..."

"Good night everybody."

Tony grabbed my hand.

"Giselle, please sit down. Fine. You don't want to talk about your black eye? We won't talk about it."

I looked at him.

"No, it's fine. Right now, I think I should start learning how to trust you before I start telling you about what I do in my spare time."

I looked to Banner, who was watching the drama quietly.

"Oh and Banner, Tony here would like you to 'secretly'" I put quotation marks with my hand. "look at my arms during my check up while you fail your attempt to take my blood. I'd like to see you try."

And with that, I glared at Tony and walked back up to my room.

A few minutes later I heard a knock at my door.

"Who is it."

"Giselle, it's Peter."

I sighed.

"Come in."

He walked in.

I looked away.

I knew he didn't know that it was me he was punching, but that didn't change that fact that my eyes are purple.

"Giselle, are you ok?" He asked.

The room was still bare.

There was three walls and the fourth wall was a giant window.

I was sitting in the window corners, opposite the door.

"Yeah I'm fine."

Peter nodded.

"You know something Giselle?"

"What?" I asked. Not really caring.

"I'm not an idiot. I gave you that black eye, didn't I?"

I looked out the window for a few seconds.

Then nodded.

He sat down next to me and put his face in his face.

"Oh my god Giselle I'm so sorry..."

then he paused, finally putting two and two together.

"Wait, how the hell did I give that to you? The only thing I've punched today was a dragon."

I looked up at him.

"Peter, there's something I'm going to tell you, but if you betray my trust again, I will leave and never look back."

Peter just looked at me.

"You can trust me Giselle."

He said.

I put my face in my hands, and then stood up.

I walked over to the door and closed it.

"Are there any cameras or listening devices in here?"

I asked. He shook his head.

"Not that I am aware of."

I crossed my arms.

"Peter, I'm... I'm not human."

He looked at me.

"Um, care to elaborate?"

He asked.

He was taking this surprisingly well.

"Peter, when I was ten, a organization called HYDRA kidnapped me to use in experiments."

A tear grouped in my eye, thinking back to what happened there.

"In that place, the experiments gave me two powers. Shape shifting and telekinesis."

Both tears fell from my eyes as he stared blankly at me.

"Three months ago, I escaped, and I've kind of decided not to trust anyone with any of the stuff if telling you right now."

My face was streaming with tears.

I took off my jacket, and moved my shirt hemline to reveal a tattooed number on it.

Property or HYDRA

Experiment 1922

Peter came over to read it, and a tear formed in his eye as well.

"There are scars worst than the ones on my arms on my stomach from where they preformed major surgeries. And, Peter I don't know if I can tell the others until I know that I can trust them. I just can't. I don't know how I haven't gone insane at this point."

He looked at me for a second.

Then he hugged me.

I could keep it in anymore.

I cried. I sobbed.

The same smell from yesterday wafted into my nose and calmed me.

We sat there for a second.

Then we pulled apart.

"Giselle, I am so sorry. I didn't know that that was you."

I shook my head.

"Peter, it's fine. There is no way you could have known."

He hugged me again, and this time I hugged him back.

The door was kicked open.

We broke apart and turned around.

Tony was standing in the doorway.

Looking at us.

"You've got your check up tomorrow in the morning kid."

He said looking at me.

I nodded and looked at the floor.

Then he turned around and closed the door again.

I looked at Peter.

He looked at me.

"Good night." He said. I chuckled.

"Yeah, I think I'm going to buy bed tomorrow."

He chuckled as well.

"Hey Peter."

"Yeah?"

"If they try to take my jacket off, things are going to get ugly. You might want to be on a different floor when that stuff goes down."

He Looked at me and nodded, "sure." Before walking through the door and closing it behind him.

Tell me what you think guys!
