Chapter 8

Rosalie recalled about what she had to do and appeared discontent. 'Are you alright?' Laurie asked. 'Yes and thank you! I have some urgent engagement to attend to so I must leave!' she said. Laurie enquired 'Will you be alright on your own? She nodded in affirmation and left the boutique. She went to the town hall and returned home immediately after that. It was evening and when Nora asked her about inviting Johnathan to the picknick tomorrow. She sighed, 'I forgot! Oh! How could I be such an idiot?' She was miserable that day but she had a plan to make it up to him. And she just crossed her fingers before going to bed that night she will accomplish what she hopes for. Nora lied down in the same bed as her and George came late to the home as Anne was gone and he had to look after the Scarlet garden from now on.

She woke up in the middle of the night and recalled that she forgot to water the plants. And the maid even didn't confirm that she watered the garden that evening. 'What is wrong with Mrs, Bridget she never indulges in such negligence, however, today is the case why is that?' she mumbled heir descending down the staircase. She turned down the bulb and the garden was blooming with scent of roses. 'What an enthralling sight!' she supposed. She watered them carefully just sufficient for the ground to absorb it and not just stand there for the insects to wander over. She then sat on the bench where pots of other plants were placed they bloomed there too. She watered them as well but the key was you have to bring soil for them from outside and place them in another plant pot. That she learned when she used to learn gardening from her granny. Her granny was a nature lover but she never dared to plant another plant in the same soil or else it would right away turn into ashes. A spectacle that Rosalie observed when she used to spend her time with her here. It was a comforting place for her and her granny made sure to secure this place well. She forced the architectures to come up with a glass dome roof structure peculiar for the garden which was when illuminated looked like a grand light bulb at the back of the house. She was fond of the enclosed room and would sneak at night there. Now she could visit it any time as it was her and granny left her a diary which was in her mother's possession. She never asked for it but she knew that she could have it even if her mother do not agree, It was for Rosalie and her mother was aware that she would go through it when she was gone. She intended it to happen that way she places it somewhere Rosalie would immediately know that Anne approved of it.

She was sitting in the garden gazing at the stars with the light shut down in the garden now. It was extremely dark but the night sky was not. All the stars shone so bright that they dominated the beauty of the queen moon that night. She lost in the serene beauty of the night and didn't feel fatigued after what happened to her that day. She was calm and collected herself and she sat there for as long as she remember. After that she slept so deeply that she didn't recall returning to her be. She leaned on the table in front of her. She woke up to deafening sound of Nora and asked 'We went to the picnic? Is Eliot alright?' Nora leered her suspiciously 'You were dreaming? Right I am about that?'. 'Didn't feel like a dream! It was so real!' remarked Rosalie. Nora asked her to go and get fresh and she went to the kitchen and assisted the maid in preparing the breakfast early. Nora loved early breakfast. Rosalie glimpsed them both busy in the kitchen and sneaked to her mother's room. She could hear them chit-chat in the back, she was cautious of them and locked the door behind her. 'Oh! There you are!' she whispered. It was right in the front desk in the very first drawer just kept for her. Otherwise, if she had placed on the table, there was a rick of someone else reading it. As she held it in her hand she noticed something in the diary, an envelope. 'Who is that for?' she reflected. She knew her mother revealing that the diary was for her to connect to her granny but not the letter. It was something added or new. She saw on the chair beside the table and took the letter out. It was addressed to her and immediately opened it and read it.

''Dear Rosalie, I know that by the time I am gone you will be in possession of this diary. I know I have not tell you about lots of things that I should have but it was for the sole purpose of letting you live a simple life. But I think that your granny was right you must know about it too as you have a right to it. By the time you will turn 18 which you turned 4 years ago, you will become aware of a special ability of visions that you possess. I have never affirmed them and have always make you believe that they were some dreams, and not all dreams are true. However, it is time that I reveal that I just kept you from developing trust in your ability. Nevertheless, you shared a lot of vision to me about things that actually happened. It hope you will forgive me and explore this ability to assist the right people in your life. I do not want you to feel overwhelmed with this epiphany. It will stress you a little yet, believe me it is a simple sense like any other. And as long as, you are in possession of this secret, it will be in the best of your favour. You know that all my suffering was the result of that little mistake of revealing it, thinking that someone who doesn't possess it will understand me. But that was not the case.

My dear love, ultimately it will be your own decision to keep it or reveal it. I would not force you in any direction. I love you so much. And yes, there is another crucial thing that I want you to know if you want to differ between the visions and dreams, the ones that feel the most real and life like are the ones. I know you are my smart girl and might have reckoned this out own you. But I want to ensure that you have!

With all my love,

Anne-Marie.''

Nora called her. She picked a dress from her mother's closet got ready and fresh. She made a quick walk to her room and place both the diary and the letter safe with all her books. Nora's voice was again heard by her but this time she took her by surprise as she stood near the dining table in the blink of an eye. She could only do that as she made no noise moving around with her light weight and nifty shoes. 'Stop that, you know how unsettling it feels!' said Nora. Rosalie laughed mischievous and prepared the lunch for the picnic. Rosalie moved back to pick her granny's diary that she was eager to continue but Nora inspected her and uttered 'Please, Rosalie dear not today, let us just relax and enjoy a little outing in nature! I just do not desire it to be some sort of a discussion on a novel!'. Before Rosalie could explain herself, Nora pointed downstairs, and she had to descend halfway back. By that time the honking noise of the car could easily be heard, and the maid also joined them. Eliot went inside Scarlet Garden and assisted them with the gears. They enjoyed the landscapes and the mountains in the Lake District that they often used to forget about being so indulged in their lives. The green carpeted mountains felt welcoming after all, they haven't had a picnic in decades. It was Nora's idea and she said, 'Isn't it heaven?' 'I cannot agree less!' remarked Rosalie inspecting the beautiful route they travelled in the car. Eliot smiled and held 'It is truly an amazing sight! It never fails to amaze us!' Eliot's chauffer parked the car down in the valley and stay on guard over there. Eliot insisted that he joins them too, but he held that it would not be in his favour if the car gets damaged in any manner. So, they left without him and left him some lunch as well. 'These days, chauffer service is quite luxurious!' said Nora.
