Chapter 3

'That is the real problem!' said Nora and Eliot. 'But I presume she has the right to know. . ..!' said Eliot. 'I could not agree less to it! We must try!' said Rosalie. 'I am aware of what we are about to have an earful of and that is a lecture from Catherine or worse!' said Nora. 'Yes, she would never ever talk to us again! But we must give it a go! We never know it might turn out to be favorable!' said Rosalie. 'Alright, I agree! Catherine is unkind but she doesn't deserve a fate like!' said Eliot. 'I mean nobody actually deserves a flirt! We know him now for years and no matter how fine a gentle he pretends to be he is evil!' said Nora. 'Maybe he has changed then what . . ..!' said Rosalie. They talked while they were sitting in the hall for the opening ceremony in the city hall for the educational term that year. They found their seats that were quite in the central area of the hall where they could see the stage and even Johnathan and Catherin accompanying Oliver in the front row line of the hall. The three of them settled on their seats and then Eliot pointed at Oliver and Nora and Rosalie watched Catherine talking so fondly to him! 'So, change my dear ladies is not a choice but an opportunity for him to grow in wealth and status!' 'Utterly, I do not want to put my hand in the beehive, but I think there is no other way then to warn her and the rest is up to her!' said Rosalie. 'I agree to that! Do not worry dear, we can do this much, and this is alright! We do not need to get involved in their business at all!' said Nora.

An announcement in the mic requested all to retain silent and then they named all the sort of educational sessions they will offer that term. They all must watch a play to get acquainted to a writer, last year it was an Irish play and this year an English play. None of them knew which play was it. The organizer always ensure secrecy to preserve curiosity in the students. Although most of them were there just because their parents desired them to learn something other than the business they already know. Some of them were fine businessman and professionals but yet they were encouraged to learn more and comment on this session to improve them for the next sessions. While others were new professionals or the ambitious ones who must find their path in life.

Nora, Catherine and Eliot all three of them rode the carriage and reached the Keswick town, venue where they steadied a theatre. Jonathan was spotted but Eliot who came in his car and joined them. They bought popcorns and honied corn sat down on their seats. It was requisite to attempt theatre, but Catherine and Oliver were nowhere to be found. Rosalie sat next to Nora. Nora forced Eliot to sit beside her and made Jonathan sit right next to him. Jonathan glanced at Rosalie who was wearing a simple lilac colored dress and hat. Her brunet curls hanging roughly down her bun. Anybody could tell Jonathan was in love with her, but Rosalie avoided him at all costs. She loved Nora like her sister and His rejection of Nora made her a bit bitter towards him. So, she continued avoiding him but only conversed to him when it was absolutely essential. She appeared just flawless even with all the mess she thought she had made of herself with the ride on the carriage. 'Mother was supposed to come pick us up, but she didn't come!' thought Rosalie. Nora patted her hand and she felt relaxed after her comfort. 'She might have some important engagement, that is why she could not join us! Alright, the play is about to begin!' said Nora. It was Twelfth Night, a Shakespearean play that everybody enjoyed that day and watching the main character changing her gender and identity as a male, gave Rosalie an idea. She thought 'it must work and if it does not its worth endeavouring, a menace!' Nora knew the smirking look at her face. 'Trouble again!' said Nora. 'Lord help us!' said Eliot! Eliot knew what was approaching their way and he knew it was not good! He knew Rosalie since childhood and was aware of what she would attempt next. She was like that always bid for trouble, but she was the one to get them out of it as well. This time as they were new adults, so they were petrified as what this trouble is going to be! Johnathan watched the whole play in his mind while he was looking at Rosalie this whole time, he was a boy drowned in the mesmerizing eyes of her Muse. She never looked at him as she was aware that she would not be able to find herself and will lose it. She looked at him with the corner of his eyes the smiling handsome face and sharp features didn't attract her, but it was his eyes that said it all! She was just too afraid to lose herself in them even more terrified than losing her friend Nora.

After the Play that they watched, George drove down the lake district from Keswick town to pick Rosalie and Nora. Eliot went back to her boutique to inform her mother in the boutique that both the girls are still in the district as they went down in the valley to watch the dog show after that. Johnathan went along the girls and if he knew he could have dropped them. But Rosalie insisted Eliot to send her mother here to pick them from here. What she did not know was that her Uncle George came to drop her and Nora off to home. 'Where is mama? If she is not coming, then I will be awfully cross with her!' said Rosalie. 'Don't you worry! She will be here in no time! At least! That is what I expect . . ..!' said Nora.

Anne-Marie never ever let her daughter down ever she was not a person who didn't keep her promise. But there she was busy in her boutique preparing for her visit to the charity which she was about to carry on in three days. 'Rosalie must be awfully cross with me! I fancy she will forgive me as it is my first time and must remember what time of the year that was!' thought Anne-Marie. Rosalie on seeing Uncle George recalled that it must be time for Mama to set on her journey to an open charity. Johnathan seemed disappointed on seeing his uncle even that look was not overlooked by Nora who noticed that. She felt pity for the lovesick dove and hinted Rosalie with a look that said it all. Both of the girls greeted her, and Johnathan shook his hand with uncle. He introduced himself. The girls sat in the car and uncle had a brief conversation with Jonathan.

'What a charming lad, I say! Not many lads these days would exhibit such decent manners!' said George. 'Right uncle but I suppose someone people would not agree!' said Nora. 'Oh well, who would those people be? I believe those people need to reflect their on their own manners before they point to others!' said George. Rosalie gazed at Nora with a stern and frightening look. But she ignored as she was not afraid of her. She was trying her, but Rosalie was not stirred by anything she did. 'Yes, I certainly consider that these people must behave more like human!' said Nora.

It was getting dark, and they forgot to attend their first session with Catherine who was nowhere to be found now that she had a lad. She was too busy pleasing him and having wild errands with him in the Lake District. They went for boating at the lakeside. Rosalie and Nora reached the town, and they met Catherine there by chance who was at her mother's boutique. It was afternoon and they had found Catherine right after they intended to have the issue settled over there. So, they told Uncle George to stop who told them that he cannot as her mother directed him to drop them at home. But Uncle George listened any way as Nora told him that she has a something of importance to exchange with Catherine. It is crucial for her to know that as it would affect her life.

Uncle George dropped them off and waited across the street from where they rushed to Catherine who was out of Anne-Marie's boutique and was headed to her car. Nora yelled 'Catherine, please stop!' and waved at her. Catherine turned back and stopped at the door of her car. She inquired 'is everything alright? Ladies!'. Rosalie and Nora caught their breath and requested her to join them in Uncle George's restaurant across the street as it was a matter of great significance. Three of them walked reached the restaurant and Catherine appeared to be shocked at how they approached her. Rosalie started 'I am quite aware that I may not be right person to say that, but I presume I must say it now or keep my mouth shut!' What is it both of you? You are worrying me!' said Catherine.
